I have eliminated the 3rd break light and exhaust vents as the cause for my leak. Water is filling up the rear sliding window track and leaking out of both ends of the track into the cab of the truck. I saw YouTube videos showing clogged drain holes in the sliding window track as the cause on the Gen 3 trucks. Do the gen 4 trucks have those drain holes in the track and if so where and how do you access to clean them out?

Thank you GTyankee, but the window design is different in my 2015 and I don't see drain holes anywhere.

I removed the cable that moves the window and there are no drain holes in the track. They must have changed the design. How do I stop the water?

I've been trying to find my water leak on my 2017, 4th gen Ram for years. It wasn't my third brake light or the cab vents. (Installed a new thicker gasket on brake light and installed the updated cab vents 68323649AB). I took the back seats out two different times. I still kept getting water under the back seats. I finally found the drain holes in the rear window track and they were both so clogged up they were hard to see. The drain holes are directly under the clips that hold the cable. (one on each side). I took a flathead screwdriver and pried the clips out. Under the clips toward the back of the channel I rubbed an awl until I found the drain hole. I pushed the awl thru it and also blew compressed air into it. I did both sides with the rear window closed. I did remove the headrest so I could see better. The whole process can be done in under ten minutes.

@arxpress when you popped the clips to gain access to the drains, how did you pry it out without breaking the track? I tried and it is warping the track and I’m afraid I’m gonna break it.

Did you get an answer as to how to remove those plastic clips? Are there really holes under those things?
