So after reading all the posts here, I have a 2014 1500 Laramie with Dual ATC and heated/cooled seats and heated wheel. I purchase a brand new UAQ still in box.

When I install it should work the ATC without changing the HVAC module?
Correct

Hi I have installed uaq in my 2013 ram. The temp on the radio only shows hi and low. I have read the post and still not sure what direction to go. The truck has factory dual zone with 7 speed fan. Question is do I just replace atc module or get the single zone kit. Thanks for any help.

Is your truck a 2500/3500 diesel?

Are you tuned/deleted?

Sorry it’s a 2013 ram 1500 5.7 completely stock.
Stock 2013 Ram 1500 with factory 8.4 Dual Zone ATC... It should be good to go.

Then I don't have any real solution for you on why the radio isn't updating itself via the Bcm to work with your HVAC system.
You may want to try the original HVAC module (behind passenger Air vent) with the 2018 2500 HVAC module (68366553AA).

Curious...
What's the Panasonic radio year/model/part number?

What's the Application Version the radio is running? (Dealer menu = press and hold TEMP UP +TEMP DOWN +FRONT DEFROST for 6-10 secs)

Did this work for you? I seem to be having the same issue on my 2013 with UAQ. Also the outside temp on the radio is stuck in Celsius.

Sorry for taking so long. I haven’t had the time to looked into it yet. That being said I am going to see about relearning the blend doors and see if that helps.
Update relearn didn’t help. Going to replace the hvac module with a 2018 one and see if that does it. Will update after I get it replaced.

When you upgraded your uaq, did you get a 2017 or older unit, or a 2018 or newer unit. Putting a 2018 or newer unit in a pre-2017 truck requires an adapter unit and maybe that is impacting your function. If you bought the harness from M²Mods you could reach out on his vendor site and ask.

From what I read or I may have miss read it. The harness is for tradesmen models. I have a 2013 Laramie fully loaded. Mine is a 2018 newer radio. What does the harness do for the radio?

I believe it is for any pre-2018 vehicles; that installing a 2018 or newer UAS or UAQ requires a harness to ensure all features function correctly. One thing I do know is different is that pre-2018 models did not have Apple Carplay or Android Auto. Since this did not exist in 2013 your factory wiring may not the capacity to process the signal in from a phone. I freely admit I don't have the technical expertise about what doesn't work correctly. But M²Mods both sells a harness and can provide much more information including correcting anything I misstated . Good luck.

Looking back through Monkeytool's posts over the last page....

Because he has a factory 8.4 Dual Zone ATC equipped truck, all he 'should' normally need would be the 18-21 UAx 4c Panasonic radio, USB Hub and a hub adapter harness... Which it sounds like what he has (not from me).

The issue is that the radio for some reason is not fully resetting/configuring itself in his 2013 Laramie 1500 5.7 truck... There have been a few folks with tuned/deleted trucks having that issue, but that's not the case for his stock Laramie.

Previously indicated his 2020 UAq 68461699Ax radio is on Application Version v34.x.
Previously suggested the latest is v39.6 ... Which may help.

Or maybe swapping out the original HVAC module (behind passenger Air vent) with the 2018 2500 HVAC module (68366553AA).2013 trucks have the same system as a 2500

Thanks. As I was saying, I am not that technically versed but attempted some help. I also always try to have people work through you for parts needed so that they aren't buying somewhere else and then flailing for help because the seller doesn't follow up. Appreciate the info for my awareness. Enjoy your evening.

You too & thanks for the mention.

Definitely something going on here that can benefit from more eyes on it. Still waiting to see if a new HVAC module or radio SW update gets it squared away.
(I had no issues with the UAq upgrade in my prior 2013 1500. )

If you end up with a newer HVAC module you could probably easily sell the old one for a decent price too.
