Hey guys, having an issue with my truck for about a week.

My truck is a 2015 ram 1500
Has push button start
New battery and new batteries in fobs

So what's been happening is fobs wont unlock or lock the truck 95% of the time. When this happens the ignition dosent seem to have power no lights on the push button at all.
But when the fobs do unlock and lock the truck, the push button lights up and I can then start the truck. But then truck shuts off on its own and this ranges from a few seconds to 10 minutes plus and when it does that the truck won't start and fobs don't work again. No check engine lights but when I put my code reader on it says "park assist circuit open" (my truck dosent have park assist)

Some days I can start the truck and turn it off for hours and some days I can't get it started at all or only works once or twice

I'm not sure if my RF hub is no good or my ignition. But if I get into the truck with the door open and hit the lock buttons with the fob in the truck and shut the door, it senses the fob in the vehical and unlocks the doors automatically. So to me that means the RF hub is recognizing my fobs.

Is it possible if my ignition switch is bad could I be experiencing these issues?

Also to add, everything else seems to work fine minus my drivers door unlock and lock buttons. They don't light up or work. But that happend a couple weeks before this issue. Could be related but maybe not.

I think I have found the problem. I pulled out the rear seat to get to the RF hub and found it was very damp back their due to the vent that is right beside to hub. And noticed that what I assume is the power wire (to the ignition I think) was badly corroded and when I was trying to remove the connector from the hub the wire (red wire) basically pulled out without any significant force, almost just fell out. Also there is another wire that is white with green stripe that looks pretty bad. So now I'm going to contact the dealer and see if they have a new connector and pins.

That doesn’t look good
2-3 times on my 2014 with Push-button start, the fob will no do anything, I have use the key to open door and the truck will start by pushing the button with the fob
Next time it’s fine
I have never looked behind the seat. Once every 2 yrs I can put up with it
If the socket is poor, you could try some battery cleaner or baking soda and water to clean the contacts
You can buy contact cleaner in a spray can for electrical stuff

Was going to say, been having some issues with my '18 push start, when the Wife has had her key in the truck, as for some reason the truck prioritizes her key over mine. (my key has given me no issues at all.) Did find that her key battery was at 2.6v, so went ahead and replaced it with a fresher battery (3.12v), hoping that helps. But it was real annoying, as I would have to restart the truck if the door was opened, as other wise it wouldn't stop the damn "key has left" bing.

Swap key fobs with the wife. Don't tell her you did.
Problem solved.

spray that area around the RF Hub with
CRC QD Electronic Contact Cleaner

it may help a bunch

Ram now makes improved Cab Vents
it would be the time to replace that one next to the Hub, while the seat is out
The Vents don't cost that much, maybe $10

I think I have found the problem.
Good for you finding that, apparently that is not a rare occurrence with those vents. Like mentioned, replacing the vents with new and improved if available. Luckily other than being an inconvenience...it worked out to be a cheap fix for you.
