How's it going everyone, just had a question about how to avoid the oil filter housing cracking on my 2016 RAM 1500 with the 3.6 engine. I just got it replaced recently because it cracked and leaked all over the place. I know it's a common issue with that engine, but I wanted to know what yall would recommend to avoid it happening again soon! Is over tightening the issue?

check out wranglerforum.com there is a ton of info on the oil filter cooler housing issue. the doorman does look like a way better design not being made of plastic.

First time I used my 1/4" torque wrench set to the proper inch/pounds. It took nothing for it to click. Now I use my smallest ratchet and it's just single finger snug.
