Starting a new thread here trying to get some advise and just share my story.
Bought a 2014 regular cab 5.7 hemi 6speed trans 2wd. I’ve done a bunch of these upgrades in the past to a 2016 year and had great success. This 2014 I wanted to do the same.
Installed:
1. 2017 Hemi with 60k miles
2. Factory fog lights with factory harness back to TIPM
3. Auto dim interior rear view mirror
4. 7” cluster
5. UAQ upgrade from the RA1
6. Backup camera
7. Cargo camera
8. Factory projector LED headlights (replaced front harness not utilizing adapters)
9. Factory rear LED (retroshop conversion harness and was able to buy the factory harness for the LED taillights as they were missing when I bought them)
10. Remote start
Soon to come:
1. Passive entry
2. Push to start
Now here’s the negatives. I installed a used 2017 BCM for purposes of better communication between the radio and BCM.
I used alpha and was able to directly drop my vehicle configuration into the BCM and it accepted it first try. But I can not get the VIN to write using either the android or the PC version. Regardless I get the error “Failed. The ECU has detected that the request contains parameter(s) with value(s) outside allowable range.”
Has anyone gotten around this. I was told maybe @Roman217 @Jimmy07 may be able to comment on this.
