Had a camshaft position sensor code. Replaced it and cleared the code. Now after a short bit of driving check engine light comes back on and goes into limp mode. Scanner lets me delete the pending code but still has permanent code for the sensor. What is the drive pattern or whatever it’s called to get the permanent code to clear up?
Thanks y’all

you need to see what other codes there is then trace them and find out what one is the most common code and chances are that is the problem ! codes could be the same code for several different things ! so eg you could have codes P109 P570 P300 P301 they are lets say just reading them tells you O2 sensor throttle body injector and miss fire if you dig farther in to it each code will lead to common code once you find the common code that is you issue !
