I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport. Recently i have noticed at slow speeds when turning the wheel it feels line the power steering is not wirking properly.

The wherl is very stiff at slow speeds and does not seem like it wants to return on its own.
Looking at the manual I cannot find where the PS Pump is and the diagram does not show where it is.

Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary visually.
Any thoughts. Gonna have to take it in but would like some advice here.

Tire pressure is right, but almost feels like the tires are flat when turning.

Bot really noticable at higher speeds 40km +

There is no p/s pump or fluid. The 1500 switched over to electric p/s in 13. If there's any issue, usually the rack needs replaced. I had an intermediate shaft fail couple weeks ago that seemed like it was a rack issue. Hopefully, yours is might be something cheap like that.

Thanks for the comments. Took it in and the intermediate shaft is completly seized up and needs to be replaced.
Gonna run me about $390 CAD for parts and labour...

Good to hear. Better than the roughly $2500 USD for a rack with install & alignment

My 2014 Lonestar had these symptoms then one day I got a check power steering message and no power steering. The electronic rack failed. Common issue for the 2014s. Just my experience.

I took the shaft out. Used a 90° pick to carefully pry open the rubber sealing boots and as redneck as I am I used aerosol Remington gun oil. I have never had an issue with it since I did that. Been almost 4 years since I'm gonna say. Just a bit of elbow grease to work the oil in the joints saved a bunch of money.
