Warlock sway bar question

Has anyone replaced their front or rear sway bars for an aftermarket sway bar on their Warlock? Would the sway bars be the same on a classic?

A Warlock is a classic, which are all 4th gens. Sway bars are the same.

As far as I know there is no front sway bar aftermarket for the 4wd trucks. Mines pretty stiff as is

I went with Hellwig on my 5th gens. I never upgraded the sway bars on any of the 4th gens I had so I'm not sure what's out there for those.

Edit: A quick look at the Hellwig site shows the same bar for '09-'21 if you are at stock height...

I will be towing a travel trailer in the future and was wondering if a sturdier sway bar would help with the towing or if i would be wasting my money.

It will make a difference, whether it's worth it or not is up to you. That seems like something that could wait until you've exhausted other options with the trailer like make sure you have a high quality weight distributing hitch, good tires, good weight balance, etc. Sway bar (in my opinion) shouldn't be near the top of the list for money spent, especially ahead of time not knowing if an issue will present itself.

While I agree with you regarding towing, I would add that an upgraded sway bar can improve daily driving when not towing by improving the way the truck handles and feels on the road. It's one of the best mods I've done, and plan on doing the same upgrade on my next truck.

I have the Hellwig rear bar on my 4X4,but if i was doing it again,i'd go with this one instead.The Hellwig is 7/8" while the Etrailer bar is noticably heavier at 1 1/8".

I stiffened up the rear of my warlock significantly with new HD tufftruck coils and bilstein 5100s
the stock coils are way too soft for my liking and the stock shocks are crap should not even qualify as shocks
night and day difference in my opinion but I drive my truck pretty hard. it no longer wallows through the curves like an old boat
look for biltstien and hd coil threads in the lifted section for more information! good luck!

Thanks for sharing that. The stock sway bar is thicker too, but it's not solid like the Hellwig. Is the Etrailer bar solid as well?

That has to give you a harsher ride though. I can't speak for the OP, but most 1500 owners want to maintain the smoother ride you get with a half ton pickup.

When i talked to them,they said their bar is solid. The other option is to adapt the 2500's rear swaybar to the 1500's brackets,as the 2500's have a bigger bar.But it takes a bit of adapting to make it fit the 1500's swaybar mounts

That's a substantial difference if theirs is solid. I might have to upgrade to that bar before my next truck. :waytogo:

I’ve got Hellwig for the rear. Tow a trailer occasionally, and glad I went with it. The size difference is substantial.

Another thought if your looking for towing stability would be a weight distribution hitch (WDH). Worth every penny :waytogo:

Also picked up a front Hellwig, but haven’t installed it yet. Sitting in the garage for now.

I cant speak for the op either but hes here looking to stiffen up the rear.
I would not consider it a harsh riding vehicle. Just right in my opinion. Also I didnt get the stiffest springs they sell. I got the softest or second softest they sell. Which are still way better than the factory ones.

Maybe my harshness sensors are out of whack because I daily drive a f450 gooseneck for work. thats what I consider harsh ride!
