I have a suspicion that the fuel pump failure could knock the cam timing out. My question is this. Did anyone here experience an engine timing failure along with a HPFP failure?

The fear mongers beat that war drum when the EcoDiesel first came out that due to the type of friction/compression fit of the cam setup. The same type of friction fit is used in millions of different engines worldwide.
Not only has there been very few HPFP failures on the EcoDiesel (less than 1%) but I think there only been a couple of suspected timing failures with the engines, nothing linked to a HPFP with certainty.
I think the current recall of the HPFP on the 2ndGen engine (DS body trucks) is just a preemptive strike to make it a voluntary recall instead of a mandatory one. The 3rdGen engine (DT body trucks) use the same fuel HPFP but no recall on those yet.

I have a third gen (2020) Ecodiesel and received a recall letter recently. I called the help line and they said there is no fix yet. I'm keeping my AAA towing service paid up!

I have several notices from FCA or Stellantis, i have not even opened them, i figure they are recalls & duplicates of the same recall

the last notice that i opened, they wanted my Ram for several weeks for some study some where outside of California & they were going to drive it to that location, instead of transporting it. That is not going to happen, to many chances for some idiot to floor board it the whole distance, or spin donuts at every stop.

I drive my Ram sensibly & i have not had any trouble lights come on since Day 1, January 16, 2016
