First post and apologize if this has been covered in the past. Have a Carmax warranty expiring early Jan and trying to get dealership to fix a problem I’ve had here and there. Truck cuts out while coming to a slow stop, say from 45mph to 5, then I place in neutral, cost to a stop and restart with no codes. They can’t replicate the problem and it’s never a check engine light on my end. Thoughts??

When you say "cuts out" you mean dies and needs to be restarted? That's pretty crazy and nothing I've heard of (and I've been on this board a lot for nearly 10 years). I can tell you I've had a few infrequent problems and a picture of anything relevant can help your dealer (or Carmax) help you. Even just a video or picture of you sitting at a light needing to restart would do something I'd think. What's their counter-argument - that you have nothing better to do than roll around making videos after turning off your truck to try and prove a problem that doesn't exist in hopes of fixing a problem that isn't really there? I got my 8.4 Uconnect unit replaced due to snapping a picture of the super-quick error message.

Assuming your plugs are are in good shape, first thing I’d do is clean the throttle body. If it happens every time you come to a slow stop, ask the service writer to go on a ride show him.

Starving for fuel, loss of pressure, hmmmmmmmm.... Could be a plethora of things. Definitely take service advisor for ride so U can replicate the problem.

I always try the simple things first, then if no success, I go to the shop.

Is the torque converter possibly sticking intermittently? It would probably jerk a bit before stalling if that was it.

Jiggle your ignition see if the truck shuts off very common when it wears out.

I have what sounds like exactly the same problem as the OP described. 2013 5.7L 1500 Outdoorsman 4WD. 75K miles. Always serviced, runs great.
Randomly ( once every few weeks) pulling up to a stop/traffic-light or even slowing down for a tight right hand turn, the truck would stall. No codes ( I have an ODB reader). No jerking , in fact the biggest problem is that you often have no idea it happened until you go to accelerate and "no-go". Always restarts immediately first crank of the engine.
So based on some other posts I replaced the crankshaft position sensor. This is a VERY easy and cheap thing to try. 5-10 minutes to do it and the sensor is $30.
It seems to have fixed my problem.

I had a 2000 dodge Ram 1500 I think it was 4.2 and did exactly the same but that one used to turn off and on right back on itself.when I was in low rpm’s. I sold it and bought a 2012 1500 5.7 4wd outdoorsman. Worked well for a few years and then It started doing the same thing it just shuts off when I stop in a red light when I am turning right or left in an intersection, besides when I am driving on the fwy it seems like the transmissions kicks really hard I took it to a reputable transmission guy he couldn’t find anything. Took it once to a dealer they couldn’t find the problem since there is no code. They told me the truck wasn’t stalling They replace the camshaft sensor, the crankshaft position sensor, spark plugs and pcm no luck still stalling, I insisted to keep it longer and keep driving it they refused to do so. So I’m thinking it’s a ram thing
Any advise would be really appreciate it

I have a 2012 Dodge Laramie 1500 and periodically it shuts off no error messages. Dodge dealership had it for two days and found nothing. Another mechanic that I spoke to told me he knew what the issue was which surprised me. He said add seafoam and drive to a 1/4 of a tank then fill with hi octane. Having nothing to lose I did it and its been a month and nothing has happened. Worth a try.

My 14 did this a couple of times. Changed IAT and cleaned TB. Never recurred.

Probably more TB than IAT but did them both together.

Have since switched over to HellCat TB and no issues since.
