I've had a chevy blazer and gmc jimmy that ran great and were a ton of fun to drive. Couldn't get stuck in them if I tried. Snow banks were the best. I've seen some broncos with tough looking setups lately. Look like they'd be alot of fun too. Enjoy your new adventures. You can always come home to Ram

I test drove 2x Bronco's. All in all I thought Ford did a real nice job on them IMO. Interiors on a lot of vehicles these days seem cheaper than they used to. I thought it was pretty plasticy too. But the leather on one I drove was nice. Either way, not a deal-breaker. One thing I specifically wanted to test out was if the lockers worked in high range ...and they do! Some vehicles limit locked diffs only to low range and that cuts usability. Ford is gong to sell a lot of them.

My main vehicle is a Hummer H3. It's an awsome vehicle (IMO). Fun to drive. So I definitely see why you bought the Bronco. Lot more manageable day to day than a pickup. These pickups have silently become larger and larger. Now they're akin to land dinosaurs, LOL. Best of luck with your new ride!!

My 19 Laramie L2 turned into a Ford Explorer Limited with about everything Ford could put on one. It's turbo 4 cylinder with 10 speed auto. It has a $hit pot full of auto driving features that are fun to use. It won't self drive but about as close as one can get to it.

The turbo 4 makes nice power and the 10 speed is nice once it was sorted out. There were issues with the 10 speed shifting roughly into a couple of gears which mine did. A tsb late last year solved the issue and it a great car. I know, not an off roader but just dang nice. An interesting point is the Ram is much larger and and heavier but it uses the exact size (20 in) wheel and the exact size tire as on my Explorer. The ride is better than the Laramie. I didn't say the Laramie was bad, it was great for a truck. but the Explorer is a great highway ride.

My prediction is one of these days a company (probably not an established brand) will come out with a mid-size truck about the size of a Ranger/Colorado but 7-8" wider, and has a real 4' between the wheel wells. It'll be roomier inside than the current 'mid-size' trucks ..and more efficient than full-sized trucks. (Rivian R1T-ish?). I guess such a truck would be about the size of an 80's/90's OBS Ford or GM truck. And it'll sell like hotcakes. The extablished brands will flail their arms and exclaim, "Why didn't we see that coming?!"

I know a lot of guys who think their full-size tk is more truck than they need, and would gladly downsize a bit. But the current so-called *mid-size* trucks are too cramped, don't get much better economy and not enough bed utility. We'll see.

I agree.

And maybe a smaller bed with bed extender.

The avg bed is 6.5' make it 4.5' or 5'? but with the tailgate down a secure extender 6.5'?

I think it would sell very well.

Sounds like my 05 Dakota. I miss that truck. Shorter and narrower than my Ram, so easier to get in and out and easier to maneuver. I could check the oil without having to climb on the tow hook lol. And it was almost as capable, it's payload was around 1100 lb iirc.
A must would be the option for regular cab and/or extended cab, not a 4 door behemoth.

(BTW, no way the new stuff today sounds better than an old 351W breathing out of a Flowmaster 40 series)

Out of all the vehicles I have owned the one I miss the most was my 96 Full size bronco with the 351 Windsor. Hope you enjoy your new bronco.

Now it is looking more MY style! :)
BR, so how does the top remove on those? the Gen 2 thru 5 tops did remove, but that feature was basically useless because of how much of a PITA it was, and how many problems you had when you put it back on. for all those reasons I never removed it even once.

is it now some kind of quick detach pressure clamp down system that's used to seal it on the body? what does it even look like??

Well gang, I decided that I no longer have the need for a full sized truck but I still wanted a very capable off road vehicle that would be easier to park and be easier on gas so I traded in my Ram 1500 towards a sweet 2 door 2022 Bronco Big Bend Advanced 4x4 with Sasquatch package! It features locking front and rear diffs, 35 inch tires on 17 inch wheels, a 4.7:1 gear ratio, trail turn assist and 2.3L 4 cylinder engine and a 10 speed automatic transmission! I’m picking it up on Tuesday next week. I’d like to extend a sincere thank you to all off you for sharing great information and keeping things respectful here. I’ll always be a RAM lover at heart but I couldn’t pass up the chance to have a more compact but still burly vehicle. Take care everyone and all the best in your adventures! Stay safe!
Congrats I think you will really enjoy your new ride! Get ready for the FORD jokes !!! I worked at a ford dealer for a few years and here are some of the ones i heard ( First on Race Day , Found on road dead , Flip over read directions ! ) lol ! their should be alot of new upgrades coming out really quick for them OEM and Aftermarket !

C’mon…theyd never know!

Im assuming the 4cyl is forced induction? Im not all that familiar with ford motors nowadays. My last Ford was a ‘93 SHO,actually a Yamaha motor iirc.
You had a Tarus SHO fun car to drive quick for a full or mid size car at the time ! those Yamaha engines were tough to kill! I had the SHO wagon
