I hAve a 19 Ram classic and it says door speakers are 6x9 so I purchased some JL c1-690x but crutchfield is saying they don’t fit anyone install these or try to???

They'll probably work. I put 6x9s in the doors of my 2018 (same as the 2019 classic). Looks like the "minor apex diameter" is a little larger than what the site says your door will take. You may have to play with the install a little, but I'd bet they work just fine.

They might be to deep might have to put a spacer between speaker and door to make work. Make sure you check window before you button it up.

It's a depth issue. 2.8 inches.
Can always find a 1/2 inch pacer, online, which will allow you to use a ton more speakers.
match up Speakers OHM to your head Units OHM or add resistor to get them even, otheriwse, your speakers will be far too bright.
Alpine used to offer teh SPR69 which hd a magnet made of some weird metal, which allowed them to get a powerful, excellent sound out of a much shallower magent. Had a set in my 2014 4th gen hooked up to 300 W aloine Amp. Sounded great to my Deaf ears.

Awesome guys thank you! The door speakers I bought actually come with a spacer it use on the top of the speaker according to the directions but I don’t see why I couldn’t use it on the bottom of the speaker

I have a 2020 Limited w/ Harmon Kardon, and plan on replacing my back door speakers with these (JL C1-690) because I want to add some highs to the back door. I havent installed them yet, but I plan to in the next week or so when I have some time. Ill report back, but it may be a week or two. (I am only doing the back doors, fyi)
