Our farm truck has an aftermarket camera screen mounted to the dash with double-side 3M style tape. I want to move/replace the mount to re-locate the screen. What would be the best way to remove the mount/tape without possibly damaging the dash? Thanks.

Goof Off , Goo Gone
Maybe Mineral Spirits
Goo gone yes, but not goof off. It will mess plastic up at least in my experience, only use it carefully on metal

I have used goof off and goo gone on different materials with no impacts. Goof Off seems to work better for me. I just wipe down with a wet cloth after.

Hair dryer and a piece of fishing line to cut through the tape.
Had forgotten about this possibility; heard of it before but never tried it. Thinking it would be best for me to wait until warmer weather gets here. Having the sun shine through the windshield should help with the process.

Update. I was able to remove the screen mount yesterday with out difficulty. Let the sun warm things up, then used a plastic trim piece tool to gently separate the mount from the dash. All the tape stayed with the mount. Just used some alcohol to remove the stickiness, etc. from the dash.
