I Have a leak behind the back seats in my ram crew cab 1500 (2011) I'm pretty sure based on forum info that its the air vent behind the driver side passenger's seat. How do I do I access it to replace the gasket? DO I have to remove the bed?

I have read of people not removing the bed to replace them. I do think you have to remove the rear seat though.

@Dave Walters , I had to fix the same leak in my 2017 Express. You can read my method here. I had to remove the rear seat to access the vent inserts. I ended up not removing or replacing mine due to unique circumstances (my bed is dented in toward the cab), but if it wasn't, I suspect you can push them out from inside, let them fall out and down, and lower new ones in from above and "catch" them from inside, pulling them in. Just my opinion however, since I didn't actually try it.

@Dave Walters , its been a while, but I believe you just fold the seat up, then un-bolt the seat from where it attaches to the body. You might have to un-bolt the center seat belt, I can't remember.

Actually, I believe this was the video I used as a guide. Its for a 3rd gen Ram, but I think the rear seat design is the same for the 4th gen Ram.

I just did this. There are 4x 3/4in bolts for the seats you remove. Then lift the seats up and out as there is a latch for the seatback. 1 Trim screw for each side of the back. then it's just matter of removing old vent and installing new vent. Part number 68323649ab
