On a Sport, I’d go factory style, colormatch. Even if you bought them unpainted, they would probably pretty easy to paint. Just find a local parts shop that has an automotive paint counter, they can match your paint and mix you up a rattlecan of it. Theyre plastic flares and would paint well. This stuff:
My 96 is the red and black combo and I have always liked it. Very distinctive paint job you don't see all that often. That said, silver is actually in the running too, but I had not thought about white, that is an interesting idea. Sort of like the old Starsky and Hutch Torino. Thanks for the perspective.
These eBay grilles are inexpensive enough that I may just go ahead and have it sprayed... easy enough to get another one if I hate it.
Overall I like them; and they have seem to hold up pretty well so far (minus whatever happened near the bottom rear bolt on the front driver side that broke and made a decent hole in it). The rubber 'gasket' (between the fender and truck) or whatever they call could use some work.
What type of paint/Lynex/Armarguard material did you use to paint the matt flares and what looks like a protective strip down the side of the whole truck. I ask becasue I am planning to do that to mine, except in gloss finish. I like the look of what I can see on the top two pictures.
