I have a 2015 RAM, 1500 Crew Cab, Big Horn Edition. It seems 2015 is the year of headlight and exterior lighting issues.... I replaced my halogen bulbs years ago with a cheap set of LED bulbs, which worked fine with no issues. One of the LED lights finally started to go bad, so I ordered some Sealight X4 Series H11 LED Bulbs. Within 4 minutes of turning them on, they started going crazy. Flashing off or not turning on again at all. We had the resistors hooked up, but still didn't work. I switched to another Sealight LED with the inline resistor. It worked for almost a day and now my headlights will be totally fine and then turn off out of the blue and not come back on. Everything I have read says the 2015 is the worst year of the RAM exterior lighting. What options do I have if I want LED's to work as they should? Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 17 1500 and upgraded to HID last year and had similar issues with flickering. I ran the canbus adapter on the high beam and the relay harness on the low. I ended up using the relay harness on both low and fog lights to eliminate the flicker. The adapters would not work on either low or fogs, harness solved the issue for me.

The Alfa OBD will cure the problem. I installed Morimoto XB's with the resistors and still had issues with them going off randomly. I got the OBDLink MX+(Amazon) and purchased the Alfa program. You will need either an Android phone or windows laptop as IOS (Apple) won't work. That gives you access to many things that can be changed in the ECM. Youtube is your friend, you can find step by step videos on making the change needed for the Canbus system to accept the LED's.

+1 on the AlfaOBD. It’s like $50 and the Bluetooth MX adapter is about $100 plus you’ll need an android phone or tablet just like Michael56 stated above. No more resistors or line adapters, flickering, drop outs, error codes or hyper flashing. Alfa is a great tool as you can also use it for diagnostics and code scanner. If you do any other upgrades like tire size change, trailer brake controller or TPMS replacement Alfa pays for itself quickly.

I avoided the frustration with trial / error with LED aftermarket bulbs with my 2015 Ram by coming across the guys at Underground Lighting in FL. Very knowledgeable group, and even thought cost was higher than I wanted ($189 or so) my LEDs have been working strong for over a year with zero issues.
