Anyone with a early to mid 80’s W250 with aftermarket wheels?

Hi all, I am wondering about aftermarket wheel fitment, I went on a wheel shops website and they don’t list a 82-86 W250 in the drop menu. Will wheels for a 90-93 fit my 1982? Did they use different lugs or something else I would need to make them bolt up? Want to run a set of 20 inch wheels with either 305 or 33” tires, but worried the wheels won’t fit. I believe the bolt patterns are the same, but for some reason any wheel site I go on doesn’t show early 80s W250s, only W150 and W350.

TIA

Back from 1967 up until 1995 when I got out of the Auto Part Business .. in my books.. not on the computers. But I could have answered your questions .
But a good parts store can use information & get you the sizes from your wheel lugs. & studs. everything from thread size say like 1/2 or 7/16 . Pitch of The threads .coarse medium or fine. shoulder information . length of the thread on the studs. & lots more into . & on the nuts maybe even how they shoulder up to mount on the wheel .
do they chamfer on the threads or on the hub centers . What a good auto part store can't tell you a good wheel shop should be able to help you ..
from my info just use what fits your need of information.

W250 wheels fit the same from the 70's thru to 93. These use 1/2" studs, and are kinda short.

Most aftermarket wheels are made for 9/16" or M14 studs, so the holes are bit bigger. If aluminum, they may be too thick for the w250's short studs.

This type of nut may be a viable workaround.

Edit: general rule of thumb is if the lug holes in the wheels are chamfered, the lugnuts center the wheels, not the hub. Aftermarket 8lug wheels generally use a large 5.125" center hole so they clear all makes/sizes of hub.
