@indept that reminded me, I've been wanting to replace the coolant hoses attached to my thermostat housing since I replaced it last month. I noticed my housing had a small 90-degree offshoot from the main housing, and saw 6829763(7)AA on it.

Turns out that Mopar part is the coolant transfer lines (rubber hose ends and metal pipe runs in between) that deliver and returns coolant to the TMU.

@Jwrigh12 I know it's only for 2017-2022 5.7L Rams, but I wonder if your 2014 has something similar. If so, could one of those end hoses (the ones on the transmission end) be leaking for some reason? If your 2014 is set up similarly, two of those rubber hoses join the metal pipes right over your transmission. You can see the pictures of the whole setup at the Mopar part link.
You might want to sand the rust off that freeze plug in the head in the last pic and paint it to keep it from rusting.

I have had the head gasket leak externally on my hemi. But it was towards the front passenger side of the motor. It wasn't smoking, no coolant in oil and only overheated if you didn't keep coolant filled. I hope yours is something else though.

I'm hoping it's just a heater hose/or a simple fix somewhere. Not really wanting to get into tearing the engine aart at this particular moment. I'll look soon (tomorrow hopefully) and report back.

Hmmmm @indept ...good point. I'll add that to the list.

I have most of the parts in, but next weekend will be new front brakes, upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, front wheel bearings, tire rotation and an alignment. Probably gong to need to add cv axles to that list as well. Mine have what I think is too much play, and I'll be 95% of the way there with all the other things I'm already doing.

If its a small leak you may extend the time in which you have to tear in and make repairs with this... Bars Stop Leak

I have used this as a preventative measure on all my cars once they hit about 100K miles. I learned of it back in the '90s when Sam and the other older guy did the Shad Tree mechanic show. Their premiss was that as the engine ages fishers and cracking (not leaking) will naturally show up in the head gasket, and this would seal them up before they became large enough to be a problem. In addition it had a "water wetter" i.e. it makes the water molocules not want to coagulate so that actually provides more surface air to transfer heat. i.e. more small water drops have more surface are in which to transfer heat thru than bigger water drops. However water drops naturally want to coagulate together to for larger drops, and this minimizes that action.

But I mostly use it for its leak prevention. And yes I have used in some cars that where known for liking to clog heater cores, etc., when any addivities were added to the collant system (i.e. gen3 GM S-10s) and never had an issue as a direct result of this product.

Back to your issue, I am willing to bet you find either leak from intake or head gasket against the firewall.....

I don't have one, I can't crawl under trucks any more, Well could, but getting up is the problem.
These new video cameras with a long probe would save a lot of crawling around looking for stuff.
Even a mirror on extension rods are real handy.

What did it look like for the external leak?

Hey J, any luck getting this resolved? I’m having what appears to be the same issue in my 2014 Hemi.

That's exactly what mine looked like! ...and no. It stopped puddling on the ground and ive had other things more pressing. Coolant levels seem fine so I put this on the back burner

Interesting. My coolant levels are fine too but still waking up to a small puddle every morning. I’ll report back when I get to the bottom of it.
