Just had dash replaced on my 2019 Ram Limited. (leather looked like it was shrinking). I was changing my oil today and noticed this below my steering column. I have had this truck for nearly 2 years. Plenty of detailing interior so I can assure you it wasn't there before. So it had to be tucked behind the cover below column. I have a good friend of mine who is a regional service engineer for Fiat. Sent pic to him. He said he doesn't think it's factory, but the loom with wires matches factory loom under dash to a T. I could tear into it to try and figure out where it goes, but figured before I did, I might post on here to see if anyone knows that it is. The picture next to button looks like a phone, but I'm not entirely certain. It flashes blue about every 2 or 3 seconds also. Yes, I've pushed the button but nothing happens.

Any suggestions???

Had my dash replaced for the same thing and haven’t seen anything like that. Take it back and let them figure it out.

Looks like a button that's been posted a few times, I think the usual answer is an aftermarket alarm/gps tracker module installed by a dealer at some point.

Trace out the wire. Does it go to a box with other wires? Follow the other wires and see if they go to the OBDII test port under the dash. If you have all that then it is more than likely a GPS tracker. Dealers install them for a couple of reasons including inventory tracking and repo if you miss payments. When I bought my 2018 Limited I found one tucked under the carpet. The harness had a built in splitter for the OBDII port so it appeared nothing was plugged in.
The units are only 1-2 hundred so they add the price into the vehicle price so they are not concerned about recovering them. I totally removed it and disabled the backup battery it had inside.
Post back what you find.
