Hi, New to the forum. I just bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Clubcab with a gasoline 5.9L V8 (360 CID), automatic transmission, and 104k miles. I am going through it thoroughly now and had some questions I hope one of the long-time Dodge experts here could help me answer. I searched around the forum and found some useful info, but need a little more.
Per photo 1, there are two hoses on the passenger side of the engine bay that are loose. The one with the yellow arrow connects to a 4x4 actuator on the p/s of the front axle (see photo 2). I thought it might be a vent hose or something, but it is plugged. Can anyone identify this hose and let me know where it should connect and or post a photo of the correct configuration?
Also per photo 1, there is larger hose that looks cut. The other end of it connects to an evap canister under the bed on the passenger side, just ahead of the rear wheels . Same question as above, where is the engine bay end of that hose supposed to connect?
Per photo 3, on each side of truck, just behind the front wheel wells, there are hangers that have totally rusted off. Are these for running boards?
Per photo 4, the rear of the truck has the same thing (red arrow) and something that rusted off the area noted by the purple arrow. Are those for running boards, or something else? A photo of what they should look like would be super.
Thanks so much. This forum is really a wealth of expertise.
