Mentioning that I bought such and such a product, at a great price and it does all this great stuff for me is much more helpful when it includes a link.

And yes, if I know a supporting vendor is selling at a competitive price, I'll link to them first.

Don't do that. Lots of us post links to make it easier,if the vendors on here were on the ball more, they'd post links to their comparable stuff on the same thread.
OK, posting the link again, a quick search on Amazon produced
the item. If the mods/admin want this link removed, so be it.

I like all these new fancy digital battery analyzers but...

Many of them are known to wrongly pronounce a battery as good when it is anything but good. I've witnessed many times where a buddy says he had his battery tested with a fancy machine and it said OK yet the first good cold snap and it fails.

I have an old toaster-like tester like the above. It is 100% accurate and NEVER makes an error. A simple resistive load will tell you more about the battery's ability to start when the temperatures dip than a fancy machine that may display endless technical characteristics.

A resistive test is pure and has no difference based on the reactive properties of the battery. The digital testers use different methods to derive their results and unless you drop a pile of coin on a Cadex, it's tough to say if you can consistently trust the good/bad determination.

I like to use the kiss principle for quick & cheap battery analysis.
YMMV

Some reading points;

https://batteryuniversity.com/article/why-do-different-test-methods-provide-dissimilar-readings
.
I hear the term "old school" quite often nowadays when discussing a lot of things, from folks who are desperately trying to denigrate ideas from a more seasoned generation.

The "old fashioned" load test for batteries has declined in popularity because, in my opinion, some knowledge of math and storage batteries is usually required. The other big complaint is the old load test is punitive, meaning it could damage a marginal battery. Well, if the battery's marginal I'm thinking it might be time to avoid carrying jumper cables and replace it!

The Advance Auto store where my son once worked still had one of those load test setups and as far as I know it never passed a bad battery.

UPDATE 2

Got m baby back

:)
They Cleaned throttle body soak in oil and some Ice,
put in New PVC Valve and AF which I have 2 spares but it was there so and plugs which I could get for about 1/2 !

And even if I purchased the parts I might have saved 100$

And they did a few more things forgot what they are !
Happy with the repairs but paying shop rates suck lol

But all the repairs are on my RAM account !
If I drove home w/o the repairs who knows what may have happen !

Then I would get tagged with 140$ tow,, I just added towing to my insurance policy yesterday , after I got the tow bill lol

I took the hit lol since I am at 91 K had the do the 100K service and Plugs !

Parts a little over 300$ labor a little less the 900$ :O

I normally use a Local garage I think about 60$ or 70$ a hr
But done and seems to have a little better pick up or I am just imaging it lol

Thanks for all the comments UPDATE 2
