This is a very subjective mod. Sounds like you want something a little more on the tame side. I would say Magnaflow would be a good option for you or the Borla S, which is a bit louder but is a very popular option. Message me if you would like a quote on anything.

Tough call when purchasing exhaust without hearing in person, i know that too well. Youtube never has an ideal sound to listen for either. The last few Rams i owned, i installed Flow Master 40 series muffler. I like the rumble and it does bring that hemi to life. You do get a little drone on the hwy, but I have always driven hot rods...so it is just music to my ears. They offer direct fit, muffler with extra pipe length to make up the difference in length of muffler compared to factory. I also converted mine to true duals...but that was just my choice. Picture is just for reference only.

Im a big fan of the 304ss bolt on muffler for ds trucks, i couldnt be happier as far as sound and lack of drone.
This should fit any classic ds even tho its listed up to 2019

I do have a clip of it running on here somewhere...

Elvira I like the true duals idea or any set up that does not drone yet might give the stock set up a little bit extra . I replaced the stock suitcase with a Flowmaster Two.. is that a decent option or did I waste money…. Thanks for any opinion

I do plenty of grumbling, according to my wife! ;)
My truck sounds throaty enough for me in its stock form.

Out of the 7 or 8 times I've changed my exhaust Gibson mwa was my favorite. Currently have a Jones flow pack, may try a race bullet next.

A decent resonator rids the drone, and does not penalize power. I get a headache from the drone on long trips.... but do like the throaty rumble during accel.

I second this, I have this on my truck and its a little louder than stock but not obnoxious. I can tow my camper without getting a headache. Plus the 304 stainless is going to outlast the truck. Fit is 100% comparable to the factory muffler. Highly recommend this.

Annoyance vs. Comfort. That's the ticket.
Ram has one of the best-sounding exhausts in the truck segment, without getting on your nerves.

For those who want louder, there's plenty to choose from. All nerve-racking highway drones.

My 2c.

Carven progressive may be worth a thought. Not sure if it'll fit a 21 though

I am definitely biased but I am a huge fan of borla on my truck. I have the borla s type catback which for me is actually not to loud even with long tube headers. I did contemplate the touring version to have a more subtle sleeper feel to the truck but I’m very happy. I don’t like excessively loud exhausts as I do tend to drive my truck on long trips and off-roading. My wife’s old truck had a Gibson super truck exhaust which was really loud. Especially after the cat failed and I punched it out. That was a royal headache after driving it for any extended length of time.
