Hi, 2021 Laramie 6.4 2500. 42K in about 2 years! Got a call from my dealer who had a sale on injector service. I see it's recommended at 45k-60k or 3 years. Runs great, good power, mpg. What do they do that Amsoil Pi won't? If it's running healthy, wait another year? It's probably a lot cheaper at a shop vs dealer...TIA

I got pressure from a local Subaru dealer to perform maintenance at about half the recommended service interval in the owner's manual. I sat down with the service manager and got the same story. They claimed our climate in Nevada was "very severe conditions." Lots of people are pedaling a load of crap. Know your vehicle, know how your vehicle behaves and pay attention to the owner's manual. When in doubt talk it over with people like the ones on here.

Know your vehicle as others have said. The 6.4 or any Hemi is not a DI motor. Techron or Redline S1 at each oil change for preventive piece of mind. Top Tier gas as well. Some DI motors (many Subaru's) do suffer from intake valve buildup that needs to be mitigated because the intake valves don't get sprayed with fuel. Going deep on that discussion is almost as bad as an oil thread. Dealers' make lots of dough off of these unnecessary services.

Knucklebuster: Your Avatar states 2500 6.7. Do you have a diesel or 6.4 gasser? If you have a diesel than please ignore my comments.

not worth it. I recommend running the Redline S1 through the tank just before your next oil change. The S1 is proven to work well and is documented here on the forums

Thanks all! Sounds like Redline S1 a couple times a year and I'll stay golden. Thanks for info my avatar was wrong. Fixed. Tight lines!
