Cargo bed lights not turning on

I have a 2014 quad Cab 5.7 and I have a issue with my bed cargo lamps not turning on. When the truck is not running they will turn on with the button in the cab or with the unlock feature of the key. However when the truck is running the cargo lights will not come on at all. I have tried the button in the cab and using the key fob but neither will turn the cargo lights on while the truck is RUNNING. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine does the same. Not sure why they would program it to do that but sounds normal

Did you check the push switch in the box (rear drivers' side) if that's in the off position it will disable the bed lights, or maybe there's a problem with the switch.

what do you mean by switch in the box? I have tried the button inside the cab of the truck where the headlight knob is but other than that I don't know of any other switches.

There is a button I believe or as said switch in the location this person said, I only saw it once, as I only looked once.

On 2018+ I think they added an extra switch below the driver side bed light. If your truck is 2017 and older, it won't have that switch. My 2016 did not.
