Selling it or not, I would be headed straight for a reputable body shop to find out if it had been wrecked.

BeerThirty,
you mentioned your mirror vibrating badly.

Is it a Tow Mirror or just a regular short mirror

They make a brace for the Tow Mirrors
It's a regular short mirror with the electric folding. And it wasn't the main mirror housing per say, it was the glass mirror portion that had some play to it.

At this point what would that even do for me? Frankly, I don't have the money to fix anything nor to hire a lawyer. Even if I did, as much as I'd like to think I have a potential legal case, there is literally no way I can prove anything. I have a letter signed by the general manager of the dealership stating that no previous damage or foul play was involved, that's about all I have. And, at this point, if I am going to resell it, I'd almost rather not know just so that I don't have to pass it along with that knowledge.

Your mistake was in returning it. Take it to a body shop and see if it was in an accident then try to find a paper trail. They can't hide it.

I get it. It could be done if I had the money to hire a lawyer. Even if I had a case, don't you think it would be shot down by the opposition, simply on the basis that any possible damage/body work could have happened AFTER it was in my possession? Surely the dealership isn't going to willfully hand over paperwork on the truck on something they were likely trying to cover up in the first place.

I bought a 95 Ford Taurus from a dealership that was a former program car (Hertz). Drove it for years, then went to sell. The offer was for $100.00. I asked why so low? The response was the car had been in an accident and the frame was welded. Apparently the car structure had been compromised and should have been totaled after the accident. If suspicious of the looks or feel of a vehicle, highly recommend taking a vehicle to a body shop for an inspection.

If it keeps you awake at night, sell it. You'll sleep better. I bought a brand new Rebel, and a month in it developed a clunk. Nobody could find it. Every time I drove it.."clunk". Pissed me off. Sold it.

If you get tapped and there is no damage but there was a police report filled out it will still show up on a Carfax report as minor damage. This happened to my wifes car and we didn't know it till it was sold. I know, I'm a month late on this thread :)
