I have a scraping sound when i deselerate.
Notice slack in the differed pinion. Took off the rear differential cover ands found metal shavings which were coming from gears wearing through the carrier.

Where's the best place to get the needed parts?

Thanks

There are several places to get the parts

West Coast Differentials
Yukon Gear
Drive Train Specialists
Moe's Performance
Just about any Jeep drivetrain shop

It is more important that you find someone with the measuring tools & knowledge of how to properly assemble the rear differential

You would need to check to make sure the housing itself is still good. If the bearings were so bad they gears were rubbing inside the housing I would be concerned there is other damage.......just something I would check on prior to ordering parts.

Can you tell us what you think caused this and what the symptoms were, if any, other than the noise on deceleration? How many miles were on the truck?

Did you get it fixed, and how did that go?

Seems like a pretty extreme and odd failure IMHO
