Want wider tires without rubbing

Hi everyone. I'm driving a 2017 Ram 1500. I'm looking to put bigger tires on my stock ram. I originally wanted to go with 33"x12.5"x17" but everyone is saying that you get some rubbing depending on how wide you go. I bought 17"x9" rims with a -12 offset. How wide can I go without having to deal with any rubbing?

Well, if everyone is saying it won't work ..

Your best bet is to work with a tire company at their facility. While someone can give you a theoretical solution, and you will probably get a few, your best bet is to actually have each fender well inspected to make sure the final set of shoes actually will fit. And if they mis-measure it is on them to fix. If you order the wrong size and find an installer, you are out mounting, balancing, removal, and shipping plus restock fees.

Those wheels/tires should be fine if your leveled. I ran 20x9 0 offset with 305/55. I had a slight rub at full lock on the front swaybar.
-12 should give you plenty of clearance off that and clearance from your UCA’s.
