Can anyone verify for a 2021 Ram 1500 Classic 5.7 DS..the Upper Rad seal..that flimsy plastic cover that goes from side to side across the radiator...I have been quoted $387 Canadian plus taxes..is that true?
Thanks guys..

Jaysus! Is that from the States? I imagine the majority of that quote must be from shipping then. I'd just grab one from a wrecker, I'd think hard of paying $38 for it let alone $387

How much of that shipping?
Recently it seems that the shipping costs to Canada from anywhere south of the border have been crazy
Thankfully Winnipeg is 45mins to North Dakota and free US shipping

Yeah it is crazy..To add insult just got a $120 pkg from USA and cost $50.50 for broker and duty..Insane.
The quote was from 2 Dealerships here. I checked in the US and there the price is $104...makes a guy think of not doing the 6.4 air box ..it might be I will just stick to the VARARAM winter and summer now that Vararamn Industries has stepped up with this special air filter....But regardless isn't it Beyond stupid crazy how to get stuff from our two countries to each other, the shipping/duty/brokerage is so expensive...Gives rise to the Dark Side where you say nothing and smile as you just go pick up stuff and come home..still paying the exchange...they gotcha every which way ! Western Canada should just become the 51st state! We have a better relationship with our Southern brothers than the Yo Yo's in Quebec!..Ontario is OK if you get rid of Trudean..LOL

That was my next question I sent to Vararam Industries. How does cutting out this sight shield or Upper Rad seal affect the Vararam...or can I keep it as is and use it for both the vararam and the 6.4 air box mod. It must have a purpose beoing cut you would think..??

If an old guy looks a closely and disects the Video Matt put up you really do not need that Sight Shield at all with the Vararam..so why bother to trim it? Also Waterfowler on his install left the shield intact and just propped up the edges a bit with I think a part of a hockey stick..maybe use something like hard rubber wedges instead..hmmm me try!

Dave, it gave me an excuse to buy a new set of Xacto knives. The DELUXE set with the vertical foregrip tactical model. Then a new Tsquare to make the perfect cut. Then I decided it would be good to buy a new 50pack of Xmas tree push pins and new Enhanced pin popper tool. This is the Mod-Hole…

Beware of UPS when shipping across the border. I've been burned by them before too.

USPS is the best and with my last shipment last week, the USPS online tracking updated right to my mailbox.

The outdoor store in Colorado charged me $15 US and my package arrived in 10 days.

Agree.

USPS gets a ton of flack about all kinds of things but they are the Best, when it comes to getting things from A, to B.
Costs more, sometimes, but I prefer USPS, then UPS.

Try to avoid DHL and FedeX, at all costs.
