Considering getting Alfaobd but I’m wondering how it would work between 2 different trucks. I have an 09 and my dad has a 2016, I would like to be able to use it on both trucks, for example programming additional fobs for each. Is that easily possible?

Yes, I use it on my 2010 1500, my 2014 3500, and my son's 2012 2500, works fine on all

Any body here in SE Michigan that can turn on the trailer brake controller and the option to have fog lights and brights on at the same? I don't want the dealer messing with it.

Hi guys, I have a 2013 Ram 1500. I have alfaOBD w/ a USB Vlinker device. I am trying to disable TPMS completely from my truck for winter wheels.

I have connected everything,

VehConfig 3 Base TPM system present- NO
VehConfig 3 premium tpm system present- NO
VehConfig 5 non regulated tire pressure information system- NO

TPMS error on the screen is gone, but the icon is still lit and flashing.
I have reset the RF Hub as well. What am I missing?

Update - it’s only happening when the lights are on. When my lights are off (and I hit the brakes) this doesn’t occur. Very frustrating…
On my 2018 I tried using switchbacks in the front turn signal/marker lights as I used AlfaOBD to designate the marker lights as DRLs and hoped the switchbacks would work amber for turn signals and white for DRL. What I found was switchbacks didn’t work. Constant light out messages. Went with plain amber LED and no outage message. Have you tried a standard white LED instead of the switchback?

Seems like I saw a post somewhere that I cannot now find, about the heated steering wheel having several heat levels (like Low/High).
Anyone know anything about that? I have the heated wheel. It has ON and OFF but it's a bit to hot for my liking. Having a Low setting would be great. Which BCM setting to change?

Thanks

You can try with mine so you can say that you've tried with countlesstrucks and only this one 2012 was a jacka$$ that wouldn't work, even with alfaobd tecjmh support. They didn't know why it wouldn't work either. I've tried for two weeks. Two android devices, one windows, two cables and countless logs sent. Still, I get some reaction from turning on light on at a time, but when I go to configure the truck, it gives a disclaimer that the process was not verified. When I disconnect and power everything down, then back up, there is no change. Today I was so pissed that I threw a wrench against the hood and dented the crap out of it. How can every one else have such an easy time with this and I own the only RAM that won't work? I tried wrecking it on my way to work. Screw this hunk of crap.

Just downloaded the app and I’m trying to save a backup of my original BCM configuration as explained in the first post of this thread as follows:

“To upload your System ID information (BCM) go to the "Tools" icon in the upper right corner. From there select "Upload to Google Drive", it will ask you to link to Google Drive. Link your Google Drive to Alfa. Select "Upload to Google Drive" and "Upload Faults and Status Log". Then select "Body_Chrysler_Info". Name the file to upload whatever you wish. Done! Now you can go to your Google Drive and read the system info a little easier.”

But when getting to the part where I’m supposed to select “body_chrysler_info” I don’t get that option, this is what I get:

Can anyone help?

Hey all, I'm working on my air suspension, trying to get it working properly but it's not moving air at all. I can hear the air bags (or something near them) clicking when I tell AlfaOBD to do something, but nothing is happening and I started getting the below message when setting the ride height (the rest of the functions fail without any useful info). It worked fine for a while, now the rear is all the way up and the front is all the way down and I didn't change any height values.

Hey all,

I was able to get performance pages working as well as performance control in my 2016 Rebel

What I did was I went into my bcm -> Car configuration change -> Change vehicle line to LD charger (or challenger I suppose havent tried) wait a few minutes, Enter engineeringmode on uconnect and reset radio to factory settings (Factory CHARGER settings) And then bam. Performance pages icon. Trying to find which options might give me off road pages. I Still have not been able to get the Srt drive modes to change, all options activated but I get a "Not available in "none" mode" So My next task is to figure out how to kick the truck over to sport, etc.

Hey lads..
Any way to bypass CEL (no cats) on a 07 ram 1500 to allow the OEM auto start to work? Friend has had his cats stolen 4 times... 4 totally different places.. even parked at his works shop MID DAY being the most recent...
He finally bought his 4th Y pipe.... due to the theives cutting it every time to short to fix... and told them "just remove the cats this time".

Contacted me because he knows I have this type of background... they did the old spacers welded in and o2's screwed in clear the code and she came back.. is this something alfa or some sorta trickery we can do here or does it need to go to a shop for a tune to tell the computer it is A-O-K? :(

I've heard that the offroad pages don't exist at all until I think '22. So unless you want to swap in a 5th gen headunit, you (and I, '18 rebel) are likely up a creek with a hole in the boat...

Has anyone successfully changed the tire size on a 2022 1500 Classic? I've seen on YouTube that you no longer need to reset the abs on 2022 1500 DT. I wonder if it's the same thing with the Classic.

Is a 1500 Classic still considered a DS like the rest of the 4th Gens?

Yes. But, for instance, AEV said their ProCal doesn't work on 2020+ Classics because Ram's done some updates internally. I figured that out the expensive way. Too many computer controls on these late model trucks...

I'm happy to report that AlfaOBD worked for my 2022 1500 Classic at programming tire size.

Screenshot_20230305_082125_AlfaOBD_1.jpg

All I had to do was selecting one of the presets and it was good. No lights afterward so I didn't have to reset the ABS and everything else. Verified with a Garmin GPS device and the speedo was spot on at 70 MPH.

One thing to note is that even though I selected to connect to MY2022 PowerNet, it instead connected me to MY 2018-19.

Screenshot_20230305_095030_AlfaOBD_1.jpg

Also, interestingly, the circumference number does not match the stock configuration that I use for reference which I took from earlier model trucks equipped with factory 20" wheels. I supposed Ram used to build in a correction factor for weight on the tire but no longer.

I doubt many people who buy the Classics are still modifying them but there you go.

I've searched this entire thread and have not seen a solution to the issues I'm having.

Programmed my new fob, starts the truck, but will not lock/unlock the doors.
