It takes less than 5 minutes to rip a CD into MP3 and they automatically get organized by artists, album, etc. so your excuse it would take too long doesn't hold much water.
I could imagine what your reason is and if it's what I think it is then it's a sad excuse to borderline ignorance.
To add a couple of advantages to ripping:
1. Once all my old CD's were ripped to my PC, I could include all my music in my automatic cloud backup. If the house burns down, I've still got all my music.
2. My wife and I have three vehicals between us. Once ripped, all the music can go on USB sticks and is available in all three. It's also available in the little MP3 player I take to the gym
3. My wife still loves her cd's and her 21 Infiniti still has a player. I'm constantly finding her cd's rolling around the car, under the seat etc..usually scratched and frequently no longer playable. No problem though..all backed up on my PC and in the cloud. I can even burn her a new CD if she wants.

Love this thread. We have a vast CD collection as well. We also live and travel where both cellphones and satellite drop at times.Rocky Mountains. I also value my time and I’m not sure I want to spend it on a computer downloading 100’s of CDs. We also have a lot of single press vinyl. That will need to be downloaded at some point. Spent the last 40plus years in IT. Really don’t want to spend retirement sitting at a computer.

If they put the CD player in the '19, and the '22 didn't change the console, a CD should go in the '22 console. It fits where that little storage bin is under the dash. The questions are: is the wire there for the player and can the dealer add the sales code for the CD player.
When I had my'17 I added the CD player, and the dealer added the sales code and all was fine.
I have '20 now and I bought a CD player but haven't had time to take things apart to see if the wire is there or not.

I got this one today. It's not bluetooth, but plugs in via the USB dataport, is controlled on the U-Connect touchscreen, depending on disc type displays track info and album art, and most importantly WORKS.View attachment 510884

Where is the USB data port on an 8.4 U-Connect? Is it the USB ports below radio-A/C bezel on a 2017?
