2019 ram 1500 3.6l. for past month intermittent no crank. Everything lights up, everything works when push button pushed but no crank. Had starter replaced and next day same issue. All battery cables are tight, first thing I checked. Held key fob up to button hasn't helped. Eventually after sitting truck starts. 64,000 miles on truck.

Fwiw, I've read here in the RAMforum(s) that strange electrical things start happening when the battery starts going south, even though it will test good.

I was thinking about going that route next. Trying to avoid throwing money and fixing nothing.

Are you still running the original battery? It's better to start there than replacing electrical components when those may not be the issue, js.

The only reason we put a starter in it before doing anything else is because every time it had happened before I would get out tap on the starter a couple times and the truck would start right up. We had a brand new starter put in yesterday it happened again tonight where the truck wouldn't start I tapped on the starter and it still wouldn't start I ended up just letting it sit for 15 minutes push the button started right up

You KNOW your battery is OEM and 4 to 5 yers old, depnding on build date.
It costs nothing ot take teh battery and have them test it.
Go to a Interstate Battery center, of you have one or NAPA.

Replace it with one from O'Rielly's. their store brand batteries are made by Decca and superb.

So go to Interstate or Napa, have them troubleshoot for free than go by the battery from a competitor. In the HVAC biz you would be one of our nightmare clients and yeah, sadly we have all had them.

Had the same thing happening with my vans blower and luckily it helped narrow down the problem. Twice it acted up and a tap or two and it took off. Obviously when the thing is locked up it will draw a bit more power and with all the darn electronics in vehicles today that extra power draw may have screwed up something down the line.

Nah, you prolly have 6 more months to go. Maybe more.

Well, it's a crapshoot. Lol, I've been waiting on it to let go but it is still going like the Energizer Rabbit ... it'll probably give out for sure now that I made another comment, lol.
