So I bought a ram that unfortunately was smoked in. They tried to cover it but it is hard to cover up.
I was looking for something I can run while driving it to help remove the smell. My wife's jeep was bought used and same thing. After a few months of running some sort of ionizer purifier, it made a huge difference.

Unfortunately, the 2018 ram doesn't have a cigarette lighter. So I'm looking for options that are small enough that it won't take up my cup holder, plug into USB or to the inverter plug by the radio...

Just need something someone has used that works well. I think after a few months, that smell can be gone. Any suggestions?

This one is battery operated and will run about 4-5 hours. It's made for hunting to destroy odors and I've used it inside my truck a few times. You can definitely tell it was running, and maybe after running several days in a row it'll get rid of any residual odor.

My first car was my grandfather's old car. The smoke smell was unbelievably over powering. I read a thing back then about coffee grounds. So I tried it. It worked well. Dump coffee grounds so over the interior. Let sit for at least over night... then vacuum

Use an Ozone generator once or twice will clear the smell right up.
I used this one: Enerzen Ozone Generator https://a.co/d/jddOydp and it took two times for 45 minutes a week apart to fully rid a custom van of cigarette smell. Be sure to open all the doors and let the vehicle air out for equal amount of time before getting in.

If you can find some, try zeolite. It will get rid of odors in a hurry. At least for me it does.

Ozone generators work, we used them for patrol cars that had been...soiled.

Activated charcoal bags work as well, but slower.

Thank you for posting this. I bought it right after I saw your post. I cannot believe how good it worked! I'm an occaisional cigar smoker and the truck was just getting funky. Within 2hrs of it in the truck the smell was totally gone, I really do mean GONE! Can't wait to try it when we open the camper this year.

Go to Amazon and get an ozone machine and follow instructions. You put it in car with windows closed and set it and forget it. let it air out for about an hour and repeat if needed.

I actually use one of these too, I keep it in the truck and run it periodically. It won't have the same effect of the bigger unit, as it's meant to run while you're in the car. But, again, it does help some and if you're like me and enjoy the ozone smell, for $20 it works and gives you extra usb outlets too.

2018 Rebel with the center console has 2 12V ports... Once in the take out bag holder, and the other in the arm rest, down near the bottom. (I do have the CD player for some reason as well... If that makes a difference.) But I can't believe ANY manufacturer of an infernal combustion powered car would remove the 12v plug in 2023, let alone '18.
