I just bought a 2014 3500 Tradesman with the RA1 radio. The display works as it should showing stations, volume, phone hooked up ,etc… but there is no sound. Any thoughts on troubleshooting? I am not against putting in a new aftermarket to get the Bluetooth and touchscreen and other cool stuff, but I'm not convinced it’s the head unit and not the amp or something. Fuses in fuse box for both tested fine. Thoughts?

I'm having the same issue with my 2016 - All RA1 functions seem to be working properly but not a sound comes from the speaker system. I have tried pulling the Bluetooth and Amp fuses, along with the actual RA1 display fuse that is located outside of the fuse box. I have dopped a new battery in the truck, tried resetting the system, etc. No Luck....

Any updates on your situation?

Well had some surgery but finally have an update. Went ahead and bought a unit from Crutchfield cause I wanted the Bluetooth and touchscreen. Replaced the unit and it looks awesome in there. But no damn sound! Powers up and all controls work but not a peep. Its as if there's a commector under the dash somewher thats just disconnected but I'm not seeing it.

I'm having the same issues with my radio and i think i may have found the issue, looks like mine maybe corroded wires on the back of the TIPM for the amp. Mine has the Alpine stereo in it.

Gave up and took it to the local stereo gurus and of all things both speakers were blown. Only has the 2 door speakers and they were trashed. Never would have even considered that. Replaced them and it sounds good! Wiring is there for back speakers and those will get added next. Simple things!

Thanks for the update and the reminder to always test the basics before looking for a complex or costly solution.
