Hey guys
I need your help I have a 2011 dodge ram 1500
My window on driver side
It's been working great until now I rolled it down I went to roll it back up and it went only half way sand stopped but if I push it to roll back down it goes down good. If I try to roll it back up it stops half way and it's even rolling back down by it self. I know I can reset it but I can't of I can't get it to go up to do so. I tried turning truck off turn it back on. Nothing does anyone have an idea how to get it working

Did you happen to hear a loud, "pop" noise while rolling the window up or down?

I have replaced the inner door carrier/window carrier/window regulator on my 2016 rear doors twice now. They have a few names depending on where you look but they are the same thing. Pain in the butt to replace too.
I would suspect that is your issue.
Do you hear the motor spinning but nothing happens when you hit the window switch? If so, you have a broken pulley on the regulator.

Welcome to Ramforum too!

Sounds like a broken carrier plate to me. Easy to check, pain in the butt to fix. If you can roll it down half way and still move the widow up or down by hand, get a new carrier.

@AllMoparParts.com always gave me a smoking deal. But, I couldn't let my window stay down for days so I got screwed by local dealers. He did source one of my carrier plates for me locally though. Really helped me out of a bind I was in. Highly recommend talking to Benny before you order one.
They are so dang expensive though, search through my posts and you'll see I paid about double locally vs his price.

Coming from a guy that broke two of them in a year, sounds just like my issue. I had to duct tape a window up for a week waiting for parts.

If you want to be sure, pull your door panel, lower the window all the way and open the inspection cover, if there is slack in the cable, your guide roller broke. That's what happened to me.

When I try to help roll it it wants budge. It goes down great and it will roll up good but stops half way. And it even rolled down a few times by it self when I was pushing the button to make it go up it goes down

You are describing the exact problem I had. Funny/not funny, I was on my way to work when I broke my other window carrier plate roller. Heard a pop, rear window would not come up. So I helped it up. Finally when it got to the top, the thing fell right down to the bottom as I was driving. Had to go back home and grab a roll of tape to keep the window up while I was at work. NOT FUN!
Thankfully I have dark tint on my truck so I didn't worry about anyone seeing the tape.

Look it up on youtube. I bet you a morning coffee that you broke the regulator/or spring retainer on the carrier plate.

If you can ever move the glass by hand, you got a broken roller or spring. It should be stuck in place at all times.

1Aauto has a great video on replacing the regulator on the front door. Same procedure on the rear doors. Harness is a little different though

Maybe there is a blockage somewhere in the track?

Take off the inner door panel
I think the larger speaker has to be taken off too

That will allow you to see if the window is still in both window tracks

here is a video that can help you
