Dont buy JBA problem solved ;)
Little tidbit Ian,the newer ARH's aren't a hell'va lot better then JBA's these days, you're on the fb pages enough to see a few guys yelling about ARH's fitment issues lately. My JBA's are 9 years old, double wrapped and are still holding together. The JBA's on the wifes car are also holding up well to,lol

I wonder if the alphabet bois cracking down on "off road" equipment sparked a decline in quality? I never heard of fitment issues of the earlier headers. I almost bought them instead but it was a hard sell with the price difference. The current 1 7/8 no cats version on Moes are $1,750 compared to the $900 I spent on my JBAs.

@1SloRam, as @DILLIGAF said, don't buy JBA. But the general consensus is that they don't make LT's anymore anyways so that kinda solves the problem. I'm fairly certain the ARH and SW don't have the same fitment issues.
Lately there's been issues with ARH's needing to be clearanced around the steering shaft to,plus a couple guys who've had to send them back to be rewelded as their ARH's have been leaking at the welds.I think ever since Covid hit,and some of the new rules are being enforced more often, quality control has taken a back seat to what it used to be.
These days you can get Ebay headers for between 4 and 500 bucks, and the guys running them are saying they're pretty decent, even if they last 2/3's the length of time a set of SW or ARH's do,you're way ahead of the game price wise, and i'd almost bet they'll last just as long as the over priced high dollar long tubes do

Mine will be here Friday, we’ll see how they look and sound. And if they hit the steering shaft. The Remflex gaskets showed up yesterday, man you were right, nothing like any gaskets I’ve used before.

I've got Remflex gaskets and ARP bolts on mine. I'm due for a re-torque now that they've been heat cycled a bunch.

Remflex says no re-torquing required,i've never re-torqued mine on either the car or truck, lol. It's not gonna hurt though.
I usually wouldn't worry, but I'm headed to southern Tennessee next weekend so I'd rather do it before I leave in the comfort of my garage instead of having a header leak show up while on the road.

Did a quick check of them this morning, only got at most a half turn out of some of them. Majority of them didn't move. Could chalk that up to not quite getting them first time around.

Was concerned about the steering clearance…since ai posted that I found an older thread on here that never mentioned the issue. I have a set of Kook’s shorties I am going to install.

Shorties likely wouldn't have the same issues. JBA long tubes were a known fitment issue and I still bought them with the intention of finding a solution. Of course since I finally installed them, JBA quit making long tubes.

I just realized that the 2014 and up shaft is longer than my 2012.

I might just order this instead of trying to modify one for my 3" B.L

Do You remember what the length of it was before you added to it ? The 2012 is 7.5 " and need somewhere in the neighbourhood of 10" long.

The first version I modified didn't change overall length from stock, just moved the U joint. I think it was in the 10"-11" range. I can measure it in the morning when I get home as I've still got it incase I wanted to try something else.

This was the one I ordered from Amazon for the second round of modifications. (Don't go off the 15.75" in the product description. It's definitely not that long.)

Been working great! No interference on the header. I've got close to 2K miles on the replacement now without any issues.
