I've only seen a Moroso pan for the front sump cars, but then again,i haven't actually went looking for an aftermarket pan for the trucks. If somebody does make a finned cast aluminium pan for the trucks, that would probably help your oil temps.
I'm not a fan of long oil change intervals, lol.
The transdapt set-up i'm running can be fed on both sides,so it'd be easy to plumb a thermostatically controlled oil cooler to it.
My oil temps did drop a bit when i went to the dual set-up,as the oil has 2 filters to radiate heat ,and it also came up a couple psi over the single filter set-up,plus it adds roughly another quart to the oil capacity..
I know you don't want to drop the pan and add the Hellcat pump, but i honestly think that's probably your best option,as you already have a couple oil cooler set-ups to play with, and in the long run,it might be cheapest option,as it'd allow you to keep the oil pressures up at idle, and provide more then enough volumn to utilize one of the coolers you already have on hand

Moroso 27601 should fit, along with a new pickup, some unknown dipstick, and Moroso's dust shield. It is a baffled 10 quart pan which should be pretty nice, but would take some figuring and not necessarily cheap. Let me see what all is involved with an oil pump swap to see if I feel like tackling this. It sounds like it is either this or the remote single filter setup with edit: integrated thermostat.

I suppose you could to engine adapter -> dual filter mount -> in line thermostat -> cooler? I think the dual input/outputs on the filter mount would accommodate this and the in line thermostat would flow back, but I don't know this for 100%.

That seems like a lot of fittings to add a second filter.

Yea, that is what I have sketched up in the attachment on post 17 and it does seem like quite a bit of fitting makeup, which is putting me off. Ideally I would like a remote dual with built in thermostat but I cannot find one, which is pushing me towards the single remote filter with built-in thermostat.

Good find on the pan,i haven't seen it till now,but it does look like it should fit on the trucks.

I have my fans set to come on at 180f I also have an aux fan mounted to my oil cooler for towing and hot weather. I'm still running the large filter not making any sacrifices there. I never ran the heat exchanger that came from the 6.4 though. I also took out the adaptive louvers in the Rad to let as much air in as possible without regulation. I'm running a 160* thermostat suprisingly it still makes heat was - 23f here this morning and i didn't freeze ;)

What sandwich adapter are you running or are you running remote mount filter? I don't have the 6.4 heat exchanger, I have a derale 34 row 59K BTU heat exchanger. I also don't have any of the grill shutters or anything - I think those came in 2015?

What are a few examples of oil pressure, temperature at X ambient temps?

Have you checked the temperature reading (from the dash I presume?) against another instrument to rule out a bad sensor or offset?

I log everything through VCM scanner (HP Tuners). All of the temperatures make sense at various points, oil temp around ambient when cold, etc. I don't believe I have a sensor issue, just a heat issue and everything is working as designed, I just want to remove heat without sacrificing idle oil pressure.

What is your prevailing theory about why the oil pressure increased with the remote dual filter mount? I am struggling to explain that internally.

Oil pump is pumping the same amount of oil through the system, but with 2 filters there's more filter volumne so there'll be less pressure drop across the 2 filters. I'm not sure what sandwich adapter your using, but i've never been a fan of them,i'd rather use an adapter and run it to a seperate filter. I'd also go for a set-up that lets you use the older 3/4-16 filters,as theres a better selection of bigger filters available

I have (2) different derale sandwich adapters but was going to move to a remote mount setup at the bare minimum, which almost all use the 3/4-16 threads. I am looking into the hellcat oil pump and if I can simplify the dual filter setup sketched below - that is a lot of leak paths and $$$ fittings. I don't use worm clamps anymore after (2) failed and cost me around $200 worth of Redline oil. At a bare minimum I would use the single remote filter with integrated thermostat.

Worm clamps are for garden hoses.

For temp cycling critical fluids, prevailing torque clamps are required.

Oil, air, coolant, fuels

Single filter remote with thermostat gets my vote.

I did see this earlier, and i thought you had a good idea with the way you have it routed. With the Hellcat pump, you'll have lots of volumn to maintain pressure through this set-up.A/N hoses are the way to go,do you have the jaw vices for building them,as they make the job a whole lot nicer, with less blood leakage. This is the way i set up my braided hoses for cutting, use a thin zip disc to cut between the tie wraps

I do, but everything’s in storage while we’re building. I bought some pre-made hoses for the sandwich adapter but it was only two hoses, I’m not paying labor for all those connections, plus I don’t want to have to pre-measure and be stuck with those lengths so I’ll either get the stuff out of storage or wait until the house is done, maybe summer finally.

This is the adapter I'm running https://www.improvedracing.com/oil-filter-sandwich-plate-with-thermostat-for-oil-coolers-10an.html

My temps never see 109°c even on hot days. My oil pressure sits around 50psi on average. Unless I'm on it then I can see 70+ psi

I was looking at that one earlier, just wasn’t sure it would fit the big filter as the one I have is 1.75 thick and did NOT fit the bigger filter but this is 0.375 thinner.
I have no clearance issues At all with the big filter. Definately worth it in my opinion.

That's smart to ziptie both ends. I just usually wrap the **** ouda it with electrical tape.
Ps. How's free speech prison? Pretty sad eh!
