I have a tailgate light bar/strip that was already installed when I purchased. I put LED bulbs in my headlights and now sometimes the light bar is erratic when lighting. As I’m not everything lights up I used alpha and changed my headlights to LED but didn’t help any other suggestions on what settings to change ?

Are you sure the tailgate lights didn't have an issue before changing the headlights? Check the wiring on the light strip. Did you change anything on the other lighting systems settings in AlfaOBD? You could direct wire the light strip to the battery just to make sure it isn't having an issue by itself.

Look to see how the tailgate lights are wired, if they are wired to the trucks taillights your going to want to rewire them.
If you need to rewire them, buy yourself a: CURT 56584 trailer harness. That goes on the back side of the 7-pin trailer plug that in your bumper and will give you all the wires needed for any tailgate bar. Wiring this way there is no need to make any changes with AlfaOBD.

Yes the tailgate bar worked just fine. I used the curt trailer “y” harness to plug the bar into that way I didn’t have to cut any wiring. Only settings changed in Alphaobd was LED for low and high beams.

I'm guessing the problem might be with the wiring to or the BCM itself. The trailer light circuits are switched via relay straight from the battery.
I've attach a wiring diagram that should be good for your truck

Thank you ….. i did get this when I used alfaobd and read codes and it has these 2 – B16C3 and B16BF which are codes for both right and left side marker lamp control,
short circuit to + battery/open circuit,
last test failed,
error present,
failure warning lamp ‘ON’: not requested
