second gen wheels on 86 ram charger

ok .... short story. 86 ram charger 4X4 needs tires... put new tires on my 98 and hit a deer 2 days later. what do i need to do to run the second gen 1500 wheels on my 86?? spacers?? will there be a problom with the 86 hub sticking thro??

Yes spacers to mitigate the deep backspacing. Wheels will need to be bored out for the hubs.

If you have to drill the center of the wheels
Can you just swap the tires over onto your My Rams charger had wide looking wheels . I thought they were 8 inch .. Maybe they were about 7.5's.

I'm been looking at this in order to run the 5 spoke 17"s on a 1st Gen. There is a Venum adapter(I have not used them) that is Hub Centric and could likely be ordered such that the 2nd Gen wheel would not have to be bored.
