Should be on a yellow and black sticker in your drivers door jamb. I don't think it actually says payload but the number is there near the tire PSI numbers

You can actually go to the Mopar site and enter your vin# to get your actual numbers

Yeah and cab occupants also count towards payload. If you're a hefty guy, that payload goes out the window pretty quickly.

I do I interpret the sticker on the door to determine the payload of my truck? I need to haul about 1600 lbs. in the bed with my 1/2 ton. I feel like that would be too much but I don’t know what the limit is.

should be a black and yellow sticker in your drivers door jamb that will give you that number. For a more accurate number go to a scale and weigh your truck. Subtract that from the trucks GVWR that can be found on the black and white door jamb sticker. That will give you your available payload

Is the payload showing up for you using the site? I have tried my old cached page and it no longer returns a value.

There are other posts on the subject but the website has recently been controversial due to inaccuracies. Some folks reporting a month ago it said a higher weight than what it reports now.
Once again it proves " You cannot always believe what you read on the internet."

Yeah, I saw a variance, then it stopped working. I just wondered if you had recently used it. It stopped returning a value for me.

I used it a while ago took and took a screen shot on my phone. I've done it a few time but it never changed, but that was awhile ago. Idk if it is still working.

The links posted now just go to general information, the lookup by VIN seems to gone .

There were people talking about Ram reducing people's payload numbers after people overloading and frame breaking. I don't know if that was the reason or if there If any truth to it. They might of disabled the site because of it idk.

Yellow and Black sticker on the door jam will give you the Payload. Then take away any passengers, fuel, basically anything added since it rolled off the manufactures line.

Should look similar to this: (1,771lbs payload)

Thanks. That was what I needed to know. I didn’t know it said specifically on the sticker.
