I’ve always just bought the cheap blue stuff. However, I follow Scotty Kilmer on YouTube and he swears by the orange RainX. What do you use?
Always used the RainX brand in my '03 and never had any issues. When I got my '08 couple years ago, 1st winter I used RainX never had any issues as well. In the summer time I would use the standard blue stuff but the next winter I switced to RainX de-icer and then started to have issues like the "Low Wash" light coming on when the container was full but still didn't knew the RainX washer was the issue. I started reading in different threads and many had that problem and suggested sticking with the standard blue washer fluid. So I switched back to the blue stuff and no more issues.

Whatever the blue stuff that is at the gas station or store at time of need. Avoiding Rain X of course.

When I had my 4th gen, I used only rainx orange, had that truck for 3 years and never had an issue.. I haven't put it in my 5th gen yet only because the tank is full of blue... but I kiss the fact that I never had to use my wipers when I used the orange stuff.

REFLEX Ice Defence windshield washer fluid with de-icer and cleans away bugs, dirt, grime and bird droppings, and it's a lot better than RainX ... It's made here in Canada so I'm not sure if it's available in the U.S. ...

Last month my 2018 Ram Longhorn washers stopped working. A trip to the dealer revealed the washer tank screen was completely clogged. Resembled blue play dough. Cost me $108 after my 10% military discount. No more Rain-X for me!

Orange RainX or purple Zecol -35 below from Blains Farm and Fleet. Get the stuff on sale by the case. It also works well in lieu of Windex around the house.

I use Unger Professional glass cleaner. The same stuff the high-rise guys use. A 8 oz. bottle makes 25 gallons, or 5 capfuls in my Ram. I paid $8 back in 2020. 32 cents a gallon is a steal for this stuff.

It's sudsy, smells pleasant, and gets the bug juice off.

Do you use rubbing alcohol to keep it from freezing? Or does it have antifreeze in it? Or maybe you’re lucky enough to live where things don’t freeze lol.

My son ran out once so we made some with some soapy water and moonshine I made a while back. Worked well but his truck smelled like 150 proof every time he used it. But it didn’t freeze in minus stoopid cold.

I agree the blue stuff in the summer months -35 in the winter months. I use a RainX additive since a quart usually last months since you only add a couple of capfuls. Buy it at wal-mart.

I used to use shine slopping's strained for a diesel additive when driving my semi fond memories. Never ever had a Gel up

I've been using this stuff for years. It helps repel water and melts ice well. Haven't had any issues with the washer sensor either.

I'm sure there will be a few on this forum that will chime in they do the exact opposite of what Scotty recommends. He's more into sensationalism than actually reporting anything worth listening to.
Scotty is pure click bait. He used to be a respected voice in Houston but the guy is a sham now. Avoid Scotty like the plague.

That's interesting. I didn't know there was a version that was only good to zero F. They must not sell it around the North up here. Or I just haven't paid attention.
We have a "32F +" product here in south TX.

I live in the South, and I use only Rain X orange windshield glass cleaner. I can drive 60 mph in light rain, and never have to turn on the windshield wipers. The rain is blown up the windshield so, it doesn't accumulate on the glass.
Same here..hardly ever have to turn the wipers on..orange rainx..not a problem so far.
Dunno how that scotty guy has a bunch of subs.all he does is yell and dis' every maker out there.
