Transmission won’t shift

Today I went around a corner and gave my truck gas. It didn’t shift out of 2nd gear.
I had to pull over and shut it off. I restarted the engine and had no problems after that. No check engine lights came on.
Any ideas??

2020 Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie with the 5.7.

I’m having similar issues. Truck is currently at the dealer for a different issue but also trying to address this issue for the third time. I’ve read a couple of responses here, one of which crash68 wrote, that suggested one item that the dealer told me originally. Crash68 responded to someone else with similar issue. As mine has continued sporadically, I’ve now pushed harder on the dealer using info from this forum. We’ll see what happens.

my 2021 is currently in the dealer awaiting a reply from FCA or Stelantis or... I had the same issue with 1st gear, all the lights came on and restarted it fine. I still went down and they have had it for over a week awaiting instructions from a Star person. Very slow process. I had also noticed a burning smell which I attributed to a recent oil change at the dealer and well... we all know how easy it is to change the filter without spilling on the 5.7L. This would be my second RAM with about 15k whereas the transmission goes wonky. Dealer had also installed 2 tranny updates same time as oil change. Made the shifts from park hard. Not pleased...

I did the same thing, my limited has the gear limiter buttons on thr wheel on the lower right of it.
