Hauled my horse trailer over to my barn, then spent 2 hours trying to get my horse to load. In 20 years, he's never refused to self load, but today, all bets were off. Had to cancel a vet appointment because I couldn't get him to the hospital. Mortifying.

i finally ordered a Uconnect 12" upgrade kit for my 2021 1500 Bighorn this week to replace my 8.4 UAM.

I bought the truck as a CPO last October and it has been a money pit because I added LED headlights, fog lights and taillights, AMP power steps, Katzkin leather seat covers. Laramie rims and some other cheaper items. I think I am done after the radio upgrade.

Where that grille from?

It was the only one I could find not over $1200. It is really nice quality and the fit is awesome.

Does it give as much room for activities back there as it looks?

about 5in in the center of the grill and left/right ends is about 4in with the new grill. it was enough to fit LP9s but it is tight and the grill does touch the lights a little. the OEM grill is 2in thick so it takes up a lot of room, I have to take everything back apart this weekend so i can wire the lights. i will take pictures for you with a tape measure so you can see. when the active shutters open that take about 1/2in of room when fully open.

Did a test fit on my Ram, for the upcoming Factory Auxiliary Switch Terminal Mount. Undecided on which orientation though, thoughts?

I used tha auxbeam switch panel. i just screwed it down to the lid of the fuse box next to the battery. left enough slack in the wires i can remove lid and move to the side.

Installed front tow hooks I got from Benny, at AllMoparParts.com:

SO Purdy !!

Bought a Platform so I can stand on it & lean into the engine bay.
No More Up-turned Buckets for me.

platform001.jpg

No longer will I hobble up on a rickety bucket.
NO, Sir!
I will now hobble up, on to this platform, from which I will most likely fall, most Gloriously.

BUT
BEST OF ALL
Added a new LUND Boats Decal
which gives me an extra 200 HP, of course.

Went to the local Lund Boat Dealer, today, and not only did they have my parts
but I found a Raised, Chrome, LUND Decal/Lettering, that would fit perfectly,
in that little space, above my slider rear window.

Yeah, Me!

OEM Hitch Receiver flat out is horrible.
Every insert, the pin rattles around, in a hole too large for it.
Insert is pulled or pushed by whatever is being towed,
making all kinds of noise.
AND the insert also raises up, over bumps, inside the receiver
which is too large for the insert, every insert I've tried.

Pith Poor Workmanship &/or Tolerances.

Amazonion Gods to the Rescue

Worked like a charm. Pulled boat all over and quiet as the Fishing Gods intended.

The worst part, of this receiver, is the safety chain holes.
Located, 3 & 3/4 inches, behind, the receiver opening itself
and tucked, way up, underneath the bumper.

Seriously?
Come on, Mopar Designers. torture your Mechanics with goofy design but not the End User.

Hopefully, these Hooks I added will makes things easier on my arthritic joints.

There it is, Still 3 & 3/4 inches back.
Except it will move, a bit, and be easier to get hooks on and off than through those tiny opening, which cannot be seen, except by ants.

I appreciate work by Braille, as much as the net guy, but not when playing Twister

little bit of Red Loc-tite and they should never come apart

First person I ever met, who says they design for Cars,
think I'm going to deliver a Hay Maker, that'd be the envy of Mike Tyson,
right into the Jewels, just for Fun. Don't care where or when.

Best to have three when when holding bumper up putting in the bolts. Had the supplier install mine. Took about 2.5 hours for the total process. Install isn’t hard. Ranch Hand as several videos out on install.

I’ve hit a total of 5 deer, bumpers have saved me twice.
