My 2019 Ram 1500 Bighorn is my baby. She has a K&N Cold Air Intake on her to help her inhale, but I want to help her exhale efficiently, aswell. I'm planning on customizing my exhaust, and I'm not 100% sure what to do. My plan, so far, is to up my pipe size to 3" with stainless steel, true duel, x pipe, and Flowmaster super 10's on each. I'm planning on only modifying behind the cats. Any advice on any of this? Should I convert to high-flow cats, or leave my plan how it is, or change my path? Engine efficiency and HP are what I'm looking for.

My 09 has the single exhaust with BBK shortie headers that was installed before I got the truck, stock cats and just 1 super 10 before the rear axle with the mufflers and resonators removed. Sounds pretty decent, not super loud but decent noise. Not real deep either. All of that was done before I got the truck except for me cutting the last muffler off and welding in a regular pipe in its place after the rear axle.

Good quality Long Tubes yield anywhere from 30-40hp gains. Good quality Shorties will yield 5-10hp gains. A catless Y-pipe or H-pipe is worth another 5hp. Any modifications to the cat-back won’t add any power unless you’re putting remote turbos back there.
