Well, looks like I have lost faith in BFG KO2's Anybody ever seen this happen?

I ended up going with Nitto Recon Grapplers, dealer putting them on in the morning, they had a sale and were considerably cheaper than the Tire Kingdom, as a plus they will reprogram my tire size (for a fee).

Aye. I run Ridge Grapplers on my overlander and as soon as these Chinese BFG KO2 rip offs need replacing on my 2500 I'm getting another set of Ridge Grapplers.

The date code is 4421
4421 is the Date code 44th week of 2021. If they are "Blems" or "Seconds" they should be so marked on sidewall - assuming they are not so marked, go to any local BFG dealer and get them to warranty the tires for Manufacturing Defect and replace them. Within 5 years of date of manufacture, you should have no trouble with a reputable local BFG dealer regardless of where purchased.

I usually run them around 40psi (these are E load rated), but I noticed when I took it to the dealer they lowered it to 32/35

Was that a Ram dealer and what pressure is on the door jamb? I thought most were 39 PSI.

I usually inform any place I drop my truck for an oil change or whatever, my tire pressures are set, do not adjust the pressure.

And more often than not, I verify they haven't changed them before I leave the parking lot.

I'm a bit crazy for tire pressures. I tweaked one tire this afternoon because it was 1 PSI higher than the others.

Proper tire pressures directly affects performance and longevity and I want both to be exceptional after paying top dollar for good tires.

I have a good quality analog gauge and I'm not afraid to use it. Plus, tire pressure can be checked on the EVIC.

Yeah, I'm not sure if I am quite ready to join the cult yet, but we'll see how it works out.

Yeah, it was New Smyrna CJR, it just went in last week for service and that tailgate thing. I've been meaning to air it up.

I bought these tires online in January of 2022 and put them on a brand new truck. No road hazard warranty. At 18K miles today I noticed a crack in a sidewall, and after inspecting all of them, 3 of them are showing cracks in the sidewall. I don't think I have been curbing them, the rims are all untouched, but I suppose anything is possible. I am attaching pictures. Obviously I need new tires, and I don't think I am going to be putting these back on.

I would love to hear your thoughts on what might be going on, as well as what tires I should put on. I do use the truck in saltwater muddy condition (see last pic) while fishing, and I love the grip of these tires, I have been able to pull out of some sketchy launched and have never even needed 4wd.
When I first looked at your pictures I thought maybe they had been previously installed on another vehicle, then removed with a rough tool or by an impatient mechanic. But the cracks in the sidewall above the bead make me think they came out of the mold that way.

Hope you can exchange them.

Regards,
Dusty
