Just got my 2022 Rebel 5.7 Hemi last Saturday and it has about 250 miles on it now so it's definitely not broken in yet. But here are my results from a little drive I did on lunch. I drove about 20 miles roundtrip. Same route there as coming back and about 2/3 was highway and 1/3 city with stop lights. On the highway I set the cruise at 65. On the first 10 miles I averaged 13.4 mpg overall. The drive back was 16.5 overall. Normal driving conditions (not windy/wet) and the temp was about 43 degrees and I just drove normal (not slow, not giving it a lot of gas). Basically an overall average of about 15. Not real great. Hoping it improves some after the break in period.

I should say though that I knew going in it wasn't going to be great MPG so definitely not complaining. Just sharing my observation. I love my Rebel. :)
My 2016 Rebel needs 15.5 Liter (we have not less than 95 octane fuel) at 100 km, so it is about 15 MPG, during lightly overland cruisin', 45 - max.60 miles/h. Purchased ist 3 weeks ago. I don't think it has cylinder deactivation. Neither start-stop. I allready turned down from 20 L/100km nearly only 12 MPG (owner before in city trafic), that was double of what my Wrangler 2.8CRD diesel fuel needs.
Regards from Hungary , Europe :)

Now, that's what I expect from mine when it gets built. It's a bit difficult to get real world numbers, because everyone has different driving habits. For example my '20 Ford Ranger with the 2.3L turbo was getting chitty mpgs in town, but then I found it was all my fault. I was putting my foot in the turbo on every start from a stop. I learned, and it now does from 19-21 around town. As I've gotten more mature (re: old), I've found I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere, so I expect the 5.7L (after a little break-in) to do close enough to the posted mpgs I'll be quite happy.

Now, I'm sure the underlying question you have in the back of your mind is "why am I getting rid of the Ranger". Well I will say the little truck has been fine (but it rides like a two horse wagon around town). I also have a '19 Jeep Wrangler, and the wife's drives an '18 Mustang GT. We found ourselves wanting something that was more comfortable, has more room, and drives better. After a test drive in a Ram 1500 Laramie we were sold. So with todays used car market I'm selling the Ranger to Carvana for several thousand more than I bought it for, and I'll trade the Jeep for the Ram. As an added plus there will be less upkeep, insurance, and taxes to be paid. :)
My REM V8 has changed my driving style too. No more hurry like you. Just enjoy cruisin' as befits a retired gentleman. In the past with BMWs and AUDIs etc. crazy fast on the road.

Hec you guys dont do much better than my 2007 5.7. I guess they didnt change much and i dont have MDS. Best i get is 17 on the highway. Usually between 16.5 and 17. Hasnt changed in years and it has 115K miles. Trips im usually doing 75 to 85 MPH...try to stay around 80 most times.

Around town its pretty awful. 11-12.

My 2022 Rebel 5.7E. has 2000 miles on it and took it on its first trip from Ohio to NJ. Highway cruise control driving at ~ 79 mph best I did was 15.5 mpg. Also very rarely did it ever get it into ECO mode, hard to do with a 3.92 in it.

I am sure 70 mph would yield much better mpg, but that is not me at the moment.

Greatest complaint I have is that I did not order the 33 Gallon tank and I was filling up every 250 - 300 miles.

Remember, U be in Europe, with "autobahn" style highways made for the speed, not same in the States, LOL. I used to run my 74 Mercedes 280 S at 180 kph all day long, But that was in Germany on the Bahn, lol, then get passed by a souped up BMW, or other, lmao.

ARGH, bad moment there, too bad U did not get the optional 32/33 size gas tank. Wish I had it, instead of the 26 gallon in my Bighorn. Your mileage with how the Rebels are set so sounds OK. Have a friend has a Rebel. About what he gets, my Bighorn, on Highway at 75-80 I get 18.5 ish, at 70 mph, I can get 20 mpg, but I do not have stock SRA's, run AT3W Falkens as shoes,.

Since I got the AWE exhaust system, my Rebel consumes nearly 1 Liter more for 100km. But the sound is it worth.
From 15.7 MPG to 14.7 at cruisin' on countryside, up and downhill. OK sometime a just have to overtake some snails on wheels :driver:and traffic rule junkies. :insane: I never fullfill the tank, max. only half of the capacity, for not to be heavy. We have not that big distanced without gas station like in the US out of town.

I had a 2019 Rebel 5.7, the best I could do was 19mpg. That was rock steady 55 on cruise control for a couple hours.

My '18 5.7L on "generic" full syn 5W-20 gets around 16.5 paper MPG/18 truck MPG. Pennzoil Platinum 5W-20 pushes me up to about 20MPG (truck, 18-19 paper). Pennzoil UltraPlat is currently around 2k on the oil, and average seems to be (truck) 18.2

I am only a few days into owning mine, but drove it 3 hrs back from the dealership and the truck said 13.5mpg doing 75mph. I didn't buy it for the mpg, but dang I hoped better than that. Reset yesterday and drove 60ish for 30-40 miles and swelled to an incredible 15.5mpg. Not impressive.

I've got 16,000 on my 21 Rebel, 3.92s, 5.7 hemi. Running 87 octane, if I baby it, avoid stop lights as best I can, and go really easy on the gas, I can get 16 to 16.5 MPG in town. On the Interstate it's about the same (@70 Mile per hour on very flat roads). I get the same mileage now as I did on Mile 1. There's been no increase in efficiency after some break in period. It is what it is.

Use better oil. The stealership/oil change places use crappy oil, that hurts your mileage. Also, lay off the "Hemi fun Pedal". I consistently report (from the truck) even in the bitter cold we have here in the Carolina's over the last few days, and lots of remote start time, in the 16's on the truck (which is terrible for my 76.5k run so far). On paper, I usually am almost 17MPG, with the 5.7, 4x4, and the Toyo AT2/3 33". Long hauls get me up in the 18's-20's pretty reliably. If I can dodge the rush hour BS. But the cold is 100% hurting my mileage right now. I was running 17MPG (so low 16's in reality) on the truck before the cold snap hit. If your rebel is new to you, you might need to "break it in" a little, and also break your foot in a little. She's got the power, but you need the control! :D

You can ask this questions on Forums and Lord knows it gets asked often. Results are widely divergent based on terrain, driving style, weather and a host of other stuff. Fuelly may not be dead accurate but it sure does give you the range of results as well as the mid point against thousands of reports.

So.....I liked my wife's Rebel so much that I traded our old Nissan Armada for one yesterday.....
She got the Eco-Diesel and gets around 30 MPG on the highway.

They didn't have anymore Eco-Diesels. I wanted the "Fun Pedal," anyway!
I got the 5.7 without E-Tourque. No stopping and starting at every stop sign........

Last night, on the drive home from Dave Smith Dodge, top speed was 60 for a few minutes.
We had to drive back in 4 High in a snow storm over some mountain passes.
Bumper to bumper traffic in the city for about 35 minutes.
I still got 17.9 MPG.
I would have gotten 10 MPG in my Power Wagon.
CONGRATS ON THE (2) NEW RIDES !!!!!

Remember, the lie-O-meter is a lil generous. Great U got the VVT non E-Torque. now give it a lil time to break in, from my manual:

ENGINE BREAK-IN RECOMMENDATIONS
A long break-in period is not required for the engine and
drivetrain (transmission and axle) in your vehicle.
Drive moderately during the first 300 miles (500 km). After
the initial 60 miles (100 km), speeds up to 50 or 55 mph (80
or 90 km/h) are desirable.
While cruising, brief full-throttle acceleration within the
limits of local traffic laws contributes to a good break-in.
Wide-open throttle acceleration in low gear can be detrimental
and should be avoided.
The engine oil installed in the engine at the factory is a
high-quality energy conserving type lubricant. Oil changes
should be consistent with anticipated climate conditions
under which vehicle operations will occur. For the recommended
viscosity and quality grades, refer to “Fluids And
Lubricants” in “Technical Specifications”.
CAUTION!
Never use Non-Detergent Oil or Straight Mineral Oil
in the engine or damage may result.
NOTE: A new engine may consume some oil during its
first few thousand miles (kilometers) of operation. This
should be considered a normal part of the break-in and not
interpreted as a problem. Please check your oil level with
the engine oil indicator often during the break in period.
Add oil as required.
________________________________________

I would not run that many miles before "dumping" the break in oil. Not gonna start any discussion, not want the haters, but I would not go over 1,000 on initial, than after that Use a Good Quality Synthetic Oil and Full Synthetic Filter. There is a lot of info on Oil and Filter thread by BURLA. OP, suggest U read and make an informed decision. This last part IMHO only. (I also change every 5,000 miles and rotate tires also, but that is me).

2016 Rebel with 3.92 also. This looks like my mileage except when I'm towing my 3200 lb camper.....and then my mpg is closer to 10 or 11.
I have 92k miles on the truck, and the mpg has been pretty consistent.....nothing improves it except taking the foot off the skinny pedal (and "break in" did nothing). I'm meticulous with maintenance and run PUP oil.

I've had mine for 5 days now, filled up once. CC LWB Sport 4x4, 3.92s, 32gal tank with E-load stock sized tires, got 17.5 first tank (with some decent idle time) and my lie-o-meter was dead on the money. If it's to be believed, so far I'm at 18.8 on the current tank.
