I tried searching the threads for this information, but couldn't find anything. I am trying to determine if I can run my small 200 or larger 1500 watt heater over night without killing my battery, while sleeping in the back seat. I am not sure if there is even power with the truck off but I can easily check that. Thanks in advance.

Buy a better quality sleeping bag,one that'll let you walk in the morning to get a boost,or carry a jump box with you, lol. Either of those will kill a battery overnight. If your truck only has the 150 watt invertor, good chance the 200 watt heater won't work ,and for sure the 1500 watt one won't work

yeah don’t. Not worth it. Watts (power) = volts times amps.

Car battery like in our trucks is maybe 60-75 amp hours on a good day. meaning it could maybe produce 1 amp at 12 volts for 50-75 hours. Your 200 watt heater needs ~16 amps. 1500 watts is 125 amps. Will it do it? Briefly, yes. If you want your battery to start your truck in the morning, suggest a different method of heating. Also be really careful as either of those is plenty to catch an underrated wire on fire and burn your truck down. Best to not be asleep in it when that happens.

So true about the sleeping bag! Thanks for the info.
Way back when the wife and i were first together,i put a cap on the box for camping and had a 4" thick piece of foam we'd put under the sleeping bags, and we could sleep in the box fairly comfortably at temps down to about 15F.If you have a tonnue cover, you could probably do the same thing, but a cap gave us lots of room for extra curricular activities before bed,lol
