Hello my fellow rammers, i am upgrading my 3rd gen 3500 abit and i really miss having the switches for my media player on the steering wheel, so i went on google and i came across these, have anyone here any experience with these or similar?
also how difficult is it to install on a 3rd gen?
i love some recommendations and such :)

Skål! Need to verify your clockspring has the pins for it. Then you can dremel out the holes on the back side of the wheel but honestly it's better if you find a proper back piece with the holes already there. You need to make sure you have correct switches and the harness that goes with them. I converted my 2003 to the 04-08 wheel, I might still have these pieces laying around (might have the whole wheel come to think of it).

Where in Norway are you? I have family in Stavanger, Kristiansand and Tønsberg; conceived in Oslo lol.
So I do have the whole wheel minus the switches; I sold the cruise switches and reused the radio switches in my new wheel:

If you ever feel like doing it down the road, you can bolt in the 2004 to 2008 wheel into a 2002 to 2003 (this is my 2003):
