I drive real gentle and generally have good luck with everything but we shall see
Son in law has a tundra , quite old now, he likes it and is in good shape yet, but it rides like a old truck and looks plain. would be about a 2010 or so ?

Hello all, just got a 2022 Ram Bighorn. I really loved my Tundra but the deal I did seemed to good to pass up. Had a year left to pay off Tundra at $625 a month but could use that extra money. After negotiating trade value I leased the Ram for $285 a month and got a check for $5000. I was also told I can extend the lease at the end for the same payment. I’ll keep it for 6 years at that payment if they let me. I loved the way the Tundra drove but the cheap interior and fuel economy were the weak points. The Ram is much more upscale inside plus remote start, heated seats and heated steering wheel are nice touches I didn’t have in the Tundra. now I can only hope the reliability matches the Tundra but that’s one reason I leased it. I look forward to learning more about this truck here. Have a good weekend all
If you pay attention to Consumers' Report, J.D. Powers, or others, statistically for reliability you're now on the wrong side of Tundra. However, just like any other make each vehicle can have their own mechanical personality.

There have been two Toyota Camry's in the family, in both cases the Toyota name was not enough to keep the evil spirits away. In my case, our 2000 Avalon, although a real nice car, spent more time in repair than my first two Rams combined.

So, like the game of roulette, you never know where the ball may land.

Good luck with your new purchase.

Regards,
Dusty

I too recently made the switch to RAM. I purchased a new travel trailer last year and after two trips, it was apparent the Tundra had met it's match. I purchased a used 2500, cut my monthly payment by $125 and the new truck had so many more options than the Tundra. I did purchase a diesel and had second thoughts at the high pump costs, but now, I'm paying about $3.49/gal. Is cheaper than regular! Believe it or not, the diesel gets great mileage and it's more than Tundra ever dreamed of. I never got past 14 mpg in the Tundra and in the RAM I get between 16 and 18 city. It's an older truck but is works for what I need it to do.

Welcome! I was always a Chevy gal but ended up with an 05 Dakota and fell in love, it was a fantastic truck! I had such good luck with it that's how I looked exclusively for another dodge product and grabbed my RCSB Ram. Wouldn't own anything else now, the Ram is just far superior in my mind in looks, interior storage and comfort and performance. Fingers crossed you'll have no problems and a big grin on your face every time you see your truck and get behind the wheel!

Hold onto your enthusiasm, oil changes on the Ram can get ugly. I bought a oil filter relocation kit just to keep things clean and easy.

Which one did you buy and where from? I've grown tired of using zip lock bags + screwdriver method to drain the oil from the filter before spinning it off.
