would recommend against a Lift, of any kind, unless you do it yourself, AND able to replace upper control arms, and other parts, yourself.
Lifting a truck changes the geometry of all other parts and will, not maybe, but will cause other issues to arise.

Unless you are a darn good front end man, have deep pockets, or plan on trading, often, then it is not a great idea to lift trucks.

154K miles, time to save up for an engine rebuild.
Not saying it will happen, even at 250K, but still wise to save up for one, specially since truck has a lien against it.

Most prudent Path, forward, would be to pay the truck off instead of spending money, which you will never get back, on modifying the truck.
Yeah I have layed off the mods and haven’t bought anything for the truck for some weeks with the engine in the back of my mind. But not modding the truck is hard, with the thought of “I could make it look better”. And I don’t even know what I would do after paying off the truck tbh? The biggest purchase for the truck I made was for a ranch hand brush guard to protect front end from deer.

+1 on what @gofishn said, making payments on a truck with that many miles the first thing is to get that monkey off your back before spending money on modifications.

What happens when you have blown a *** of money on upgrades and the engine drops a lifter? Or the trans needs replaced?

If you have a DD to get to work with and this is just a toy, that’s one thing. But if this is your daily and you depend on it then watch your step on upgrading. Put a bunch of new stress on a well worn vehicle and things go bang.

Yeah I will have to figure it out somehow. I cant trade in the truck because I'm still financing it and it already has 154,000 miles. Also I cant do the third option because I am addicted to modifying it especially the exterior. If I have to stick with the 6 speed for right now, I have been looking at 6 inch lift with 37s, not sure on the rims and think that would really look nice and work better in the snow. Do u have any thoughts on that? Its a lot of stuff to think about especially since my 6 speed is still working and not sure if a shop around here would even know what to do. Anyways thanks for the help.
You're asking the wrong guy about lifting it,i live where every guy and his dog has a lifted 4X4 and i can't stand them, lol. As stated you're opening up a whole bunch of issues that can occur with lifting a truck with that many miles on it,especially in the rust belt, and a 6 inch lift with 37's is hard on your front end components, plus makes the truck a whole lot slower, and burn way more gas.To pull 37's with a 6 speed, you'll want to regear it to probably 4.56's,which means you need to swap your ZF front diff for the earlier AAM/corporate front diff,as you can't regear your ZF front diff, and that means finding all the pieces needed to bolt the older diff into the truck. I agree with the other guys, instead of spending money modding it,put that money into paying it off faster, then buy yourself a daily driver ,that way you're in a better position to mod it,as you can still get back and forth to work while you work on the truck. Modding a higher milege vehicle that you're still making payments on,and you need it to get back and forth to work, will eventually bite you in the rear.
We've all been young, and i don't blame you for wanting to mod it,but you have to face reality to
If you want my advice, pay it off as fast as you can

What would be the ideal daily driver like a new vehicle or used, and is getting a diesel truck as daily even make sense? Never drove one but hear the modern diesel torque is worth the money.

Which diesal are you referring to? There's a big depreciation as soon as you buy a new vehicle, one that's a year old has already had that hit,so you need to consider that.
If you're thinking of the little 3.0L diesal read through here, and ask any questions you have in this section.

No, I was talking about the 6.7L. Well your saying a new vehicle depreciates fast and a used one will have too many miles on it and u guys will say don’t upgrade it. So what else is there lol

The Cummins doesn't really like short trips around town, it prefers to be worked to enjoy life. If you want to mod something, why don't you look at an older Challenger/Charger,you can find older 09+ Challengers/Chargers or 300's still fairly cheap

That's what the truck is for, lol.I thought you were keeping the truck anf buying another toy to work on. A good set of winter tires and some weight in the trunk and you'll be amazed at what a rear wheel drive car will handle for snow.Hell i grew up in the era before 4X4's and we drove everywhere in Canadian winters with pegleg diffs and just an all season tire on the rear. 4X4's have only been common in the last 20 years or so,before that it was 2 wheel drive 1/2 tons and cars with sand bags in the box or trunk, and we got around perfectly fine, lol

Oh ok yeah was talking about charger/challenger suggestion.
Ive modded alot of cars and trucks so budget is usually No1.And a blower will bring you the closest to the engine/drivetrains limits the quickest. It took one or two Intake heads cam and exhaust (NA) before I believed my shop.

I thought u were talking about something else lol. Heres a few questions for yah. So the car would be the daily driver? And for like a charger, would the 5.7 be the best option and which is the best model package like sxt or r/t don’t know? Also and u said 09+, like a used 2018 or older. And how many miles should I be looking for. Thank u for all the help!
