Tide - more guys should see that chart you posted. The oiled K&N type filters have long been proven to not filter well at all. Amazes me that they can still keep posting false advertising and sell their stuff to unsuspecting folks. More air through the same size filter means it isn't filtering as well, no way around that.

I tried a K&N once when I was very young, you could easily see the dust on the intake side of the filter that wasn't there with stock filters, so took it right back for a refund. Since then I run stock filters in all my vehicles.

I run an AEM, just a slight improvement over stock. I also still have the stock, and if not feel like cleaning the AEM, can always go back to stock, LOL.

Funny you mention this. When I bought my new to me Charger last month it had one of those K&N cold air intakes on it. Of course I’ve already removed it and replaced it with another factory intake with a nice thick paper filter as my first order of business. And as you mentioned previously there was a fine layer of dust on the inside of the plastic tube. Not worth the risk for a couple of horsepower to me.

Has to be the worst chart I ever tried to read with those colors.
It is easier than you think. The order of the list is the same as it is on the chart. So best starts with the Amsoil and travel right to the worst being k and
N and True Flow, the other high flow oil filter.

Thanks, now it makes sense.
